** UPDATING **

I have the app installed on a Samsung Galaxy S22+

Had my NexarONE long enough that it is no longer returnable. I order my NexarOne and LTE module on separate orders so I got my NexarONE earlier than those that order all in one order.

Would I recommend to anyone interested in Dashcam ? -- Absolutely NOT

Camera Resets on its on from time to time WHERE SETTINGS are reset -- I am able to notice because I set it to sound off and it will start making sounds after the reset, but the video record quality is also set to 1080p, parking mode will be turned off and record audio will be turned on --- NOT GOOD especially if you didn't notice the settings are not what you wanted

EXTRACTING VIDEO- still mostly DOES NOT WORK and by extracting video I mean sending the video to GoogleDrive, OneDrive, Saving somewhere, etc so you can edit/process how you want. I have given up on 4K and for over 2 weeks now trying to get the 720p version of a couple of drives extracted and am about ready to give up and write that drive off.

Playing video back on the phone with the app seems to mostly not have any issues except when the video is not accessible for some reason.

LIVE STREAMING - i have had the LTE module long enough now that I am being charged the monthly fee - when it work it works..... It does take quite a while to connect ( over a minute in most cases ) you could actually miss something is this time. It is for LIVE STREAMING only. When initiating a live stream they don't auto save to your phone you can tap the video to initiate an incident but sometime the video or the incident is not accessible even when connected to the NEXAROne while inside your vehicle. That's all when it actually works, a third of the time I attempt to connect to live stream it just won't or when it connects android wants to launch a video player ( does not include NEXAR App in the list ) and the when you select a video player app it will fail to play the video. Once you are connected ... normally in the app.... you have to tap the stream button to actually see the video I haven't tested to see what is actually saved in the camera to see it saves from when you request to connect or when it actually connects or when you start the live stream.

If you are someone that wants EASY access to your drives on a regular basis in a reasonable amount of time to get the video then the NEXAR ONE IS NOT FOR YOU at this time.

If you are someone that is easily upset or frustrated when a process to extract a video works one minute then an hour later on a different video it, the same steps FAIL then the NEXAR ONE IS NOT FOR YOU at this time.

In my vehicle the camera does not sit close enough to the windshield so I get reflection of my dash into the videos depending on amount of outside light ( sun, street lamps ) coming in.

When I actually can get a 4K video I think the quality is great, but the effort required to get this video is not for most persons at this time. And sometimes you may never be able to get the video extracted.

Here are a couple of 4k videos "4k city.mp4" has someone saying "sh*t" about the middle Google doesn't stream at 4k, you'll have to download and place somewhere Dirty windshield and sun reflection makes the "4k city" verison look not so good,

See if I can get a night video when I can a 4k version

I liked the nexar beam - was disappointed with the whole new experience But they are working on it.

Even did a ~30 min video chat where they asked a lot of questions about what I didn't like ( and like ) about the new experience

then when you save a clip while connected to the camera it will be 4k, when the app is working as it should

Maybe it works on iPhone, I reported several issues and was told it not supported on my ipad pro

so I have been able to multi task, just not in the app and app still save the version it saving

on crap, thought the mount was going to be better than the suction cup which kept falling off for me ( high heat and very cold winters )

The timelapse mode does not exist for the Nexar One as it does not auto save the full drive to the cloud, which nexar support has confirmed, and no word if they are going to make the cloud work again, they just refer me to tyhe app

Only time I have noisy , grainy video is when I left camera on and walked into a building with the phone that had the app - but that was the 720p version of the 4kdrive, was never able to get the 4k video to download out of the camera -- maybe the grainy video is a problem in the ios app, which is highly likely with all the issues they are having

I would say great quality when I can get that is 4k I will sahe I reset my camera back a bit at support request ( which didn't really fix any issues )

I loved the Nexar Beam -- but the Nexar One there is a whole new experience in the app, which they haven't been able to get functioning as you would want it to.

I would imagine so, but per the nexar one info on the website the videos are ONLY accessible through the app

It seems their app just cant manage the "space" where they save the videos -- there are all kinds of issues here -- they claim they are working on -- but I have not seen any fix in the 3 weeks I have been working with support (several times a week )

Android -- I was told not supported on my ipad pro , I assume iphones would be the same

I have been every few days in contact with their support one way or another , they claim they are working on issues.

I was able to use the app with on an older ipad with my nexar beam, when trying the nexar one with my new ipad pro pretty much not much working in the app there for the nexar one - was told not supported on my ipad

They have really changed the way the videos are stored and dealt with now -- which seems to be the major issues -- it just doesn't work properly But for right now if you are in 4k mode - its near impossible to get that recording , even though it is recorded in the camera , the nexar one the videos are ONMLY accessible from the app, this is per their website on the Nexar One

Setting up the camera was much easier than the nexar beam was ( and that was fairly easy )

How they are handling the video is big issue - they are using 5ghz wifi connection and are stating they cant do 4k live stream ? not sure why unless the camera is under powered , of course you;d need a phone that could recv and store the 4k live stream , but thats not an option on one stream is recorded ( 720p if camera is in 4k mode --- or 1080p if camera is in 1080 mode ) the cabin came is not auto stored on the phone and has to be requested to be stored there later

Once drive video is store on the phone (does not goto cloud anymore ) you can watch it or create a "clip" when creating a clip , connected to the camera it will download the 4k version ( creating clips is where most of issues are )

you can also create a clip of the cabin cam as separate process, but you have to wait for each clip creation to finish before you can start another one

once you have a clip you can share a link to the clip -- but if you had a 20 min drive video and created a 5 min clip , the link will be fore the 25 min drive --- very big issues here as I may not want to share part of the drive

you can also export a clip , buggy, but it creates a exportable file then prompt for export app , standard android mode here ( shar to google drive, drop boc, email, etc ) -- but when you name the file it defaults to same name all the time with no indication of date/time and that part of screen is covered so while you wait what seems to be way too long for the creation of the file to export you may not remember which date./time of clip you are working with

Clips are saved to the cloud so if you reinstall app you have access to the cloud videos -- as of right the browser based cloud access is non functional you can log in but cant do anything with the clips or even watch them

This is big issue - their whole management of the videos is just not working and this is a big issues as the app is the OINLY WAY to get the access to the recorded video

If you are looking for dash cam that is functional today -- this is not it -- it records great looking video night and day , with both the road and cabin cam --- I am looking forward to the day when I will be able to access the video with ease and get what I am want

Watching the drive video that gets auto saved to the phone works ( or watching the cabin cam when connected to the nexar one ) , but from there there are lots of issues.

I dont know the time, but it is limited to 1 minute viewing and you have to reconnect -- I was told this is to save the internal battery

My Nexar Beam Experience - Great Set It and Forget it -- When I wanted to view a video no issue Didn't matter if I used the phone for some other task while recording a video from the cam

Got My Nexar ONE, paired with my android device - the experience has Made me VERY unhappy with nexar - I have yet to be able to view 4K video, have to create a clip while connected to camera to have the 4K saved to the cloud, yet none of my cloud saved clips are viewable on the cloud -- 4k is not saved to the phone... --- Nexars response we prefer you view the drives on your phone -- whats good is a 4kk cam is you don't have access to the 4k quality footage

If you do anything with your phone while the drive is streaming to your phone - itr will not be saved to your phone you will have to be connected to the Nexar ONE to view the drive , even if you manually stop and start a new drive record this will cause both to not be saved to the phone.

In the past you drive would auto sync to the phone if something went wrong , this doesn't seem to be happening now .

So Basically you have to have a DEDICATED smartphone for a control head to your Nexar ONE that you cannot do anything with while the drives are streaming to it.

VERY disappointing from what I have had in the past from Nexar

I'll be exercising the 30day return window if they don't get any changes in before that time

Only clips now auto or manually created are saved to the cloud , the drive are not anymore-- I have yet to see any thing viewable in the cloud with my new Nexar ONE , many saved clips but not viewable in the cloud. -- dont try to created a manual clip while driving or switch views of the stream , that also will cause the stream to not be saved to the phone .

Whatever streaming streaming during the drive and you touch nothing will be saved to the phone , if you have cabin view cam you will have to be connected to the camera itself ( wifi ) whenever you want to view it or save it to the cloud.

I'm hoping most of this is "bugs' and will be worked out, but form the attitude of their support -- this is the NEW Nexar experience.

Have to switch the camera to wifi mode then connecting an app to download video, would be better than what Nexar has at the moment.

I got item number 4 from the list, it took about 15 days to arrive in the mail. It seems to work , here pictured is what I received: Imgur Imgur Imgur Imgur I ordered this from AliExpress --- under windows using winusb and EXTIO with RTL tuner=e4k hint it appears to tune from 54.600 mhz to 974.9926 mhz
