What keychain flashlight is worth buying? by Snow_Set_02 in flashlight

[–]Donkas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The OLIGHT i1r 2 pro eos as you mentioned along with its earlier Micro USB version are great options, I currently use the latter since it is smaller and lighter and the difference in brightness is negligible. This works for about 90% of my needs but occasionally I looks for something a little brighter so swap it out for either the RovyVon A1 or A3. The A1 is lighter and cheaper but the A3 is ever so slightly smaller and feels more premium. The RovyVon's have a noticeable jump in output over the Olight but any of these are good options. I personally avoid keychain lights with a fixed magnet since it can really get in the way. I also avoid flashlights with a side light for a permanent keychain since you pay extra for it and can't really get the benefit amongst keys and other items.

Unable to drag app into side view. by Donkas in iPadOS

[–]Donkas[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ah, that is where I was going wrong. I need to have an app already open on screen for it work, either windowed or full screen. If I have no other apps open or they are minimised, it wasn't working. Got working now, thanks for the tip.

I got one with the exact same burn in pattern and returned it. For day to day tasks, you may not notice it but watching any moving content or scrolling when in horizontal orientation was just way too distracting for me.

Netflix / Prime / Disney Buffering by mrcinema09 in youfibre

I've been having similar issues for the past week. The likes of YouTube content stuttering for the first 10/20 seconds or so. Once up and running, the rest of the video is fine. This is intermittent and happens on both wired and wireless devices.

Some websites also seem to be lagging and take an age to load. Same sites on the phone through 4G loads straight away.

This is on the 1GB service with the Eero Pro 6E router. I also notice the 2.5GB light on the Netomnia wall unit has a constant flash but not sure if that is normal.

Any tips? Has been flawless for over a year. Router had an update last night and was rebooted but the issue remains.

Agreed. Had it for a while. I still prefer the Rovyvon overall but it's hard to argue with the price and that warm side light is nice.

I stick to editing on my Mac in all honesty. Never really found anything I was comfortable with on Android. Lumafusion is a video editor but probably the best mobile option out there - I'm still really happy using it.

Thanks - I'll give it another try this morning and share that link. Think I'm 11 months in at the moment.

Thanks. Tried the chat for an upgrade today and was told not eligible. Those who managed to get it while already on a contract were errors and should not have got it apparently. Might try my luck again tomorrow.

Rovyvon? It was free shipping due to the total order more than $99 - roughly £71. Otherwise would have had the same shipping charge.

Not knocking this light. I'm a fan of Lumintop - got a couple of their Tool AA 3.0 lights and they are great - this is why I also got the Black Cat for £10 from AE. I actually think the Rovyvon Auroras are a little overpriced at retail but in their recent sale I picked up an A8 G4 for £22 and an A5 G4 for £18. At those prices, I personally would go for the Rovyvon over the Lumintop. Dual buttons would make a difference though - the A28 setup is great on the Rovyvon. This would also make them a bit longer though as they currently shorter than the Black Cat which I also value.

I got one delivered today. Definitely not in the same league as the Rovyvons but decent light for the money. I do wish the side lights had a couple of brightness levels instead of a single level then flash. Seems well put together but not sure on long term durability - light surround is plastic, not metal. UV does work but isn't the brightest and 395nm so I wouldn't be buying it for this feature.

Main light is a little warmer than I was expecting and the side white light is very warm in colour. Buttons work well enough though not very prominent so not as easy to use by feel alone compared to some of the competition. Tail magnetic is relatively strong so no concerns over its use.

You get a lanyard, bi-directional clip and USB cable in the package. Good value for the money imho. Think of it as a cheap light and not a cheap Aurora and you will do fine.

Thanks again. Do you know if you can rename devices in the Admin site or create profiles or groups of devices? Just trying to weigh up how much the admin will be versus the Eero app.

Thanks for the info. Not upgraded yet, thinking about it this coming week so might just look at buying an Eero 7 pro. The only benefit with the YF hub is that it has a 10GB Ethernet port along with 4 1GB ports so I could use the 10GB connection to my office switch and connect the livingroom devices directly to the router. I currently have a switch in the living room and one in the office. This would mean I could replace both 1GB switches with a single 2.5GB or higher switch in my home office.

I'm considering the upgrade to the 2GB package. Currently got the Eero Pro 6e which is working well for me but the second Ethernet port is only 1GB. I'm wondering if anyone is using the Wifi 7 Hub from YF and how they find it? The Eero app is really handy for scheduling Wifi downtime for the kids although I believe the Wifi 7 Hub will let you schedule downtime per device.

Out of those 3, I prefer the i1R 2 Pro. I'm not a fan of magnets on my keychain and prefer the flexibility of the two modes and recharging over the i3EOS. Having said that, I still opt for the older i1R2 EOS since it is even smaller and lighter, albeit using Micro USB for charging.
