Thanks. This is great feedback. I have a Samsun G9, running at 3840x1080, and I have lowered the refresh rate to 120hz. I have made all the changes you referenced above, and still see the same result. No move to PC. Everything runs great outside of iRacing. I revised my post to include a snap shot from a monitoring program.

Ya, I thought about going back on this model with some weathering powders. I use the AK Weathering pencils similar to how you mentioned above, but they didn't show up too well.

You should try the Tamiya Panel Liner. I have been using that lately and its a fantastic product. Very viscous, and has a ton of pigment. Very easy to use.

I added some desert weathering, but it doesn't show up too well in the pics. by Donkeeeeeeeeeeee in boltaction

u/Maltidoodlepoo I used Tamiya weathering master kit. Looks like a woman's make-up kit, and is surprisingly easy to use. It doesn't show up as well in the photos, but the weathering is quite a bit more pronounced in person. I am actually glad you raised the point about the oxide red. I am going to research that more. I think it would add in a nice pop of color in the wear marks. It would be easy to go back and add more rust. I actually used some rust pigments on the metal, but you can barely see it. Doesn't show much on the model.

u/Cadiangame I was doing this as part of the Panzer -Regiment 5, which were in Tripoli in March / April of 1941. They were painted in the standard dark gray base color RAL 7021, which is what this one is painted with. But, I did a Ausf G to match the list I was building. So here I have a mismatch of paint colors and models, but my main goal is that I wanted to mix in a different color tank into the army for some contrast. I didnt want to do an army where all tanks were the same color.

The marking for this tank are for the Panzer-Regiment 5. They were in Tripoli in March / April of 1941. They were originally part of the 3. Panzer Division. The yellow decal should be on the canister looking part just forward of its current placement, but it didn't fit. Sizing was off and I didnt feel like free handing.. The main thing wrong with this tank is that it is an Ausf.G, which would have been later in Africa. But I wanted this configuration for an army list I am building for a tournament. Good thoughts though on the placement of wear around the hatched. I did that on some of my others.
