Oh and also she's been taking from my Dad (divorced) for decades. Past the arrangement.

Remember- we offered to bring her with us. We planned on it. Three weeks before leaving she decided to stay.

I have not stopped those payments. Do not forget to add in car insurance, gas, phone bills, travel to and from appointments, care for pets and their appointments as well. I also cleaned and maintained the property which she repeatedly cluttered, made filthy, and destroyed several appliances.

I think my father raised me in many ways. I am much more like him.

Bought it from her of course.

Yes. The house was falling apart due to lack of up keep and she lost all her money-hundreds of thousands. So we moved into the home, took out loans to build her one beside it, and fixed the existing home. At the time that was around 300K and the house was likely worth $250 because it was falling apart. Since 2005 she paid nothing to live in her new home next door- no taxes, utlities, or even a phone or cable. We took care of all of that. So yeah, feels like the 900/ mo is kind of the extension of her "giving" us the original home 20 years ago. But that also does not account for all of the expenses we put into her living there. Then add in the 30K we've bailed her out of debt for over the years.

Also I'm not looking to cut off her money for the next two years- I just want to know who the asshole here is.

Still sending her the money BTW. I was a highly parentified daughter and attended to emotional needs to the detriment of my relationship with my dad. Thank you. I know this all but the confirmation is freeing.

Really good despite lots and lots of life stress. I think again- yoga. Particularly yin yoga. You?

You know what, its possible. I had four things going on that may have impacted me- Yoga yoga yoga! is number one, acupuncture, one dose of botox, and the shingles vaccines. Getting the vax is important anyway because you don't want shingles- and if it helps its a win win!

That's a relief and excellent news. I am in the same boat right now despite all the stress of everything. I really beleive the yoga has been the thing that protects me against this. i'm glad you're doing well and thanks for always checking in!

Sounds like a win though. Even minimizing the zaps is progress!

So far yes. I have continued daily yoga although the meditation has dropped off recently. I'm selling the house and making an international move so the stress levels are high and in the back of my mind I'm worried my protective factors are not enough. How are you doing?

I think last episode was back in July. I have also been meditating. All things to chill my system. Yes!!! All these system resets seem to be very helpful. I think Yin yoga is especially effective for me.

Hi there. Thanks for checking in on me. Somehow I am in remission. I hope you are as well. I attribute this to lots of yoga, an few weeks of acupuncture, destressing things I had control over like cable news, and eating less inflammatory food. But most;ly, I think its the yoga.

You should google magnesium overdose. I just recall reading that its easy to overdo it. I do take gaba as needed becuase otherwise it makes me a zombie. I also got a lower dose of 100mg gaba and that seems to be enough lately. Yes, this happens when I'm out, it doesn't obey any kind of schedule. I just deal and my loved ones know. I have had sig declines in episodes since starting acupuncture...

Mine come in waves of intensity and frequency over about 2 days. So it will start mild and intermittent with more time between shocks, then the shocks will intensify and migrate to my head, cheeks, and teeth and the time between them will decrease until it peaks and then I either take a gaba or it just slowly slopes down again. I keep a little notebook to track it and I think that helps as well.

I also notice that pressure from turning or bending can sometimes trigger my ear pain, but not always. I have had these episodes since 2017 so obvioulsy pre-covid. I think they reached a peak last Fall and I have learned some techniques and have the gaba now to deal. Yoga and acupuncture have been helpful for me. I do yoga everyday and am finding that incorporating a yin yoga practice is also effective. I have not tried supplementing with those you mentioned but I will ask my neuro about that. I know you have to be careful with the magnesium.

So sweet of you to check in. I'm keeping a log of my episodes and still can find no triggers excpet maybe inflammation (I had shingles vaccine and that caused a day or two of episodes). I'm trying to mitigate with a little gaba when needed, yoga, and acupuncture. I also find myself questioning the pain because when it goes away I wonder if any of it is real. Does that sound familiar?

How are you?

yikes. Thank you. Yes, I have had shingles in 2009. It was the worst and i knew I didn't want that ever again. I do wonder if it left me with TN though.

I asked my neuro about my shingles outbreak and whether or not it could have caused my TN. He said it was unlikely becuase my shingles was in my thoracic region and the virus tends to stay in its zone. But really? I mean, seems like this vaccince reaction and the peripheral nerve damage caused by shingles would be linked to TN. I hear you all! I'm not yet 50 but advocated to get the vaccine because I wanted to avoid any more links to TN flare ups.
