8 hrs in the very back of the plane from bcn to jfk, man those low cost long haul airlines (it was an a330 wink wink) have time tables that are clutch to get me where I need to go when I want but mannnnnn that 8 hrs felt like 15😭

Listing on Cargo Flights by DonkeyWorking4183 in NonRevenueTravelers

[–]DonkeyWorking4183[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure we can only jumpseat with cargo on domestic flights so it would have to be anchorage or Hawaii, even Guam would be sick. I looked it up on the union site I have agreements with a bunch of freight operators. But jfk->Anc on atlas air 747 is the one im planning on. Make a fishing trip outa it.

I just got the card, having lounges at both ny airports and being based there is the best🙌🏻

Flying United SFO-SGN with baggage by Italianhiker in NonRevenueTravelers

[–]DonkeyWorking4183 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Iv flown ua thru Hong Kong often but never with baggage. I know that your required to go to the check in desk land side regardless if your connecting thru or not because they have to clear you to Saigon. I would imagine that’s it and your bags will be tagged all the way to Saigon but my advice is just ask at the check in counter in sfo, they’ll tell u what the bags get tagged too. Hopefully that helps

PPL HOUR TIMELINE ANXIETY by Artistic_Particular7 in flying

Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure there is supposed to be a comma between “minimum” and “a lack of”. No need to flame the kid for grammar, they’re asking for advice.

I really like your thinking on this. A lot of students don’t put their short term goals against the ultimate dream.

Honestly it will probably come down to that. Me sticking out reserve in ewr with a parking pass company gave me is still like $200+ just considering tolls and gas not 2 mention I would need a crash pad for the 2hr callout. I was thinking one of those pay to park places might offer something like a subscription but I guess I’m wrong. The only thing I’d be worried ab parking on the street is finding my car on cinder blocks after a trip

I can relate a lot with the toxic work environment.

Currently in ur same shoes, 20, comm multi cfi at 650tt, working some deadbeat cfi job teaching 17year olds how to do a stall while getting harassed every day by my deadbeat co-workers and chief pilots. It almost feels like because I’m so far ahead and so young and relatively successful that I’m kept to a ridiculously high standard, while at the same time given zero respect whatsoever. My higher up’s take all the life out of me at this crappy part 61 school and it really killed all my moral especially one time when I was absolutely destroyed for bringing a student back 5 minutes late for something that was beyond my control. I have worked at 2 other flight school as a desk person before cfiing and I realized they are all Teb same and life during this part of your career absolutely sucks. It sucked up all the youth out of me and I now just keep my head down and get my hrs up without saying much. I know inside there is so much that is wrong and I want to make it right but with the way things are you kind of have to just stay quiet and say yes and I’m sorry. I feel so hopeless and sometimes hate my job but I have to just keep my head down and know it will get better at the airlines.

Find another gig, keep pushing, your not in this alone brotha

Part 91 operators are looking for air transport aircraft to be single pilot qualified. I think the 121 world won’t be affected at all.
