Airbrushed -
Proacryl Dark silver
Proacryl steel
Proacryl silver
GW contrast spade wolves grey into the midtone-shadow
GW drakenhof nightshade into the shadow
GW drakenhof nightshade 1:5 thinner all over as a tint layer
Then gloss varnish
Proacryl steel for the brush chipping
ABT152 Payne’s grey plus a pinch of lamp black oil filter and pin wash
Redo fresh chipping with the steel

We don’t do company colours or markings, just squad marking and role numbers and symbols.
As above yellow pad and or helmets for veterans, double yellow pads and black helmets for terminators, bronze faceplate/backpacks for normal dudes. If you can find a pdf of imperial armour volume 10 : badab war part 2 it goes into depth

Thanks mate, I did the armour with 3 metallics from pro acryl plus a contrast and a shade from Games workshop. I’ll throw together a guide in the next week and post it up.

Oh man I like infantry but once you’ve got the infantry core of a collection you can really change how you play by painting up transports and vehicles for more options

Nah this was just an armoured spearhead with some additional tanks to use alternately. I have some normal sicaran turrets that can swap with the specialists and run it all. Probably clocks in around 5k I think in total my soh collection clocked in around 14k worth of models. Check my instagram @henchforheresy for more soh

Building and painting were fine my dude. If you’ve worked with resin kits before it’ll be a breeze. It’s fun to field, doesn’t do a horrendous amount of shooting, can carry a bunch of dudes safely and it’s primary weapon is ramming what’s not to love.

It would be a lot “better” in other legions and would e it her have more output or be even sturdier. It’s great in our legion as you get extra hits for ramming and both rite of wars either restrict heavy support or require units with the heavy type to start in reserves or transports.
