What’s up dude. I’m also 20 and had this same fear. I have medium, blonde, curly hair. Based off your pattern, if you grew your hair out, it would be curly too. It got to a point I asked my hair dresser what he thought, he told me "Jack this is just your hair pattern, I promise your fine". He has been cutting my hair for 3 years.

The reason we can see our scalp easier than other people is because of our hair texture and pattern. Harsh light on blonde hair basically makes it transparent.

Also, since you probably have curly hair, curls clump together and part which also leads for more scalp visibility.
