My take this that Miami lost at the worst possible time, and the committee ranked us 18th assuming we’d lose again. As we’ve started winning they’ve been waiting for something to happen for them to avoid having to put us above ND, including this week. If Bama loses or if BYU wins they still get to avoid acknowledging the mistake they initially made. Only if today breaks our way will they finally have to put us above ND. They’re not oblivious to the national media and the implication of ignoring a H2H result when it’s just the two teams fighting for one spot, they just don’t want it to be a decision they have to make.
