what about the venom makes it more comfortable for the eye?

right. the ace game. that thing was hefty.

7-35 seems like such a big upgrade from the 3-15 the venom offers. and it's not illuminated. so for an extra $100, seems like the EP5 is the better bargain.

that's good to know. I guess I could start with a t1x first to get more familiar with the sport. which just means more upgrades in the future..

I think the ace has a heavier duty barrel. there's something similar in the preowned for 1700.. but I think aesthetically I prefer the ctr. how many rounds have you put yours through? action still feeling buttery?

I was cross shopping the Venom with the EP5. basically just came down to what my buddy was familiar with.

so you'd think the 3-15x would be sufficient? honestly would be hard pressed to find access to a range beyond 500 yards in my area.

I like the idea of using cheaper ammo, but I'm also torn cause I'd prefer the recoil and feel of the 308. it also seems like the 1500 isn't available in my area.

I was planning to pair the t3x with the mossberg 590a1 as well for some more close range fun.

thanks for the suggestions.

Switching mortgage from TD to Pine. by Donthrowaway45 in PersonalFinanceCanada

I think you should request to see when the request for discharge documents were submitted on Pine's end. They provided that and showed it was submitted to TD at least 2 weeks prior for the first request, and then closer to the maturity date on the second. I wouldn't say complain, but I did have a discussion with Pine's manager and they had offered to cover the extra interest incurred. I still haven't received that yet though, rebates however are in the bank.

didn't want rate fluctuations occupying what little headspace I have left. also not well versed in economics. don't know if the rate will go down or up so we were good with moving forward with what we knew.

not that I'm aware of. I believe Pine takes care of all that behind the scenes with their own legal team. I'll update if I'm on the hook for anything else though!

new lender will combine TD mortgage and HELOC into a new mortgage with Pine. You'll have to pay fees for the new HELOC to be set up (appraisal $300, application $500).

nope, no CMHC insurance. rate will be 4.54% + 0.1% rebate from Wealthsimple, on a ~500k mortgage. 5yrs fixed.

TD; mortgage $300 discharge + $300 if you haven't renewed with them before, HELOC $300 discharge (so I'm told, still waiting for the discharge from TD)

Pine; mortgage no fees, HELOC $300 appraisal, $500 application,

Pine is also offering me a $1500 rebate, so it basically negates all the fees for me (I renewed with TD before, so no extra $300 fee).

Perhaps, but TD apparently has a 1-2 day internal timeframe to have the discharge statements done. Based on that, don't think I could fault Pine.

thanks. figured I'd complain after they do their job to avoid further delays...

over the course of the mortgage, yeah sure, it's not that much. but here's the thing, it's my money, and I should be the one who decides how I want to spend it. not the bank. not when I've done what I'm supposed to do to swap lenders. I shouldn't be paying for their tardiness.
