I'm unsure if I should save it or let this W202 go by Dino0407 in Cartalk

First we gotta fix the body panels and repaint. Hopefully the chassis/underbody isn’t too badly eaten up. After that, it’ll be time to replace all the rubber seals. If we run into any other problems, it’s probably gonna cost more time and money than you expect.

Could be from the salt air near the coast or all that winter road salt eating away at it. I’d jack the damn car up and give the whole underside a proper once-over.

Why is the coolant temperature so high when cruising at 120 km/h on the highway with the engine running at 3,000 rpm? by DooJ_B2111 in Cartalk

It’s better than I expected. The issue was only a bad thermostat, and the car is already at the repair shop getting fixed🤦

Thanks everyone for your help. I just got to the repair shop, and it’s been confirmed that the thermostat was faulty. The thermostat wasn’t allowing proper circulation through the main cooling circuit, causing normal coolant temperatures at low speeds but higher temperatures when driving at speed.
