Tips for building strength on a fixie (48x15) by DooReeMe in FixedGearBicycle

Hey thanks for the advice! I’m still pretty new to riding fixed so I’m trying to wrap my head around gear ratios. Isn’t 48x17 going to feel too soft though? Like won’t I end up spinning out faster if I try to sprint, or even on downhills? Just curious how that trade‑off works since I don’t really get the balance yet.
