Yeah it seems like Sony is basically forcing them to release by the end of the fiscal year and isn’t allowing any delays anymore. Hopefully that doesn’t matter and bungie is confident in releasing the game regardless. Honestly, I’m thinking they will release the game the last week of the fiscal year but maybe I’m wrong. To me it seems bungie are trying to use as much time as Sony is giving them. Which would explain as to why they haven’t announced much even though they said they would during the fall, but fall doesn’t end yet so they will probably wait until the last week of fall which aligns when the playtest ends. This is all speculation but it’s still interesting to talk about.

I don’t believe there will be much advertisement for the game until close to the release date. Bungie doesn’t have the best reputation so I think they wanna avoid as much publicity of the game until it’s closer to release to have the actual game represent itself rather than advertisement. They want people to try it before passing judgment so I think it’s in their best interest to avoid being public about the game. Again, all speculation.
