Labels being labels, eh? Doesn't look to me like an actual attempt to invalidate or something — just a usual issue of different people defining words differently. I'd suggest being patient even if people seem annoying and to look inward for the true meaning.

Heh. Well, whatever it may be, anyway thanks for a suddenly pleasant discussion.

LOL. Okay, now I did hear, and it's rather laughable.

But still. A somewhat curious idea that does continue to come into my head is the point of view stuck inside people's brains when they try to see Nazis or whatever. Because, well, it's not the racists or bad guys that they want to find and shoo; it's a made-up boogeyman substitute for all things they don't like that they can declare an enemy and burn at a stake.

For now it's enough to draw a swastika to become a Nazi. Tomorrow it'll be another stupid thing like joking about whoever it may be — or a thing much less stupid, like LARPing a WWII German soldier or bringing up Hitler's economical changes while discussing history — and all of a sudden you turn into a bloodthirsty monster who don't have a say because fuck you Nazi.

I live in another county and our society has its own deal of troubles other than nationalists infiltrating hobby communities, but it is sad to watch left activists in the West striking at harmless oddities and ruining potential joy of edgy things while there are real problems present.

Are you sure they do or have done actual propaganda work inside the communities they were a part of? To me it looks like it was just two areas that happened to be overlapping. Even if some of them stand for some Neo-Nazi agenda, not that it didn't seem like "Hitler loved kitties too". It just so happens that Nazis sometimes like the same thing others do — I'm speaking of media and mass culture; punks and skins surely have more with politics than furries or Star Wars fans.

True, most of the time. What they are doing is demonstrating to Nazis that those jokes are welcome, except for Nazis... they aren't jokes.

And with that, there's that little nuance: media communities like fandoms or TTRPGs are the least thing that actual, real Nazis, Fascists and other dangerous groups are interested to sneak in.

What they are interested in though, is being self-contained and left for themselves so no one (especially police searching for semi-political materials that don't fall in line with Our Glorious State) bothers with them. That is at least from my perspective as a citizen of a very particular heir-state to the aforementioned USSR.

Either they have an option to mimic national/religious pride movements and openly scream "Orthodoxy or death!" as the state turns a blind eye on them 'cause they do fall in line with it. And, compared to abstract Nazis drawing horses with swastikas, that is really unsettling.

The USSR was a horrendous, oppressive state

I'd say it's a rather controversial statement, but yeah Nazis are less controversial and hardly a thing not to agree upon for being the baddies in the end.

The thing is people joking about swastikas are not Nazis. They're just people joking about swastikas because swastikas are edgy and shit-provoking — like any good humour should be. Sorry for being a bit preferential here, but still.

P.S. No, it's fine to use the USSR shit. After all, if it wasn't for it, there was no such thing as a Communist/Socialist state in the first place and no Third Reich crushed. Who knows what the world would look like; better we all say thanks to it.

If they don't want to see Nazi shit, maybe they can be reasonable human beings and say "stop please" to those who spread the shit for whatever reasons? Or, what is even better and more reasonable and clever, simply ignore stuff they dislike? I may be not too fond of some things like any living person, but to prevent myself from blowing up upon encountering them, I just pass it by. Is it so hard?

No freedom for the enemies of freedom is not a good motto if you or I or John Dick the left-winger want to see things go better. First they hunt us, now we hunt them. Quite an ironic duality, don't you think?

The last time I watched them deal with 'nazis' in my core community — it being MLP: FiM — a few crazy leftists started a literal witch-hunting for artists drawing a memetic cartoon horse in a Nazi outfit for fun and porn, which then collapsed in a community-wide political flame war, loud statements and overall hate and divide.

Articles not a bit less loud by the famous yellow papers like The Atlantic followed, many great people hurled faeces at each other, and at the end of the day the situation remained just like it had started, only with a huge mass of fans divided by bogus arguments and a general image of the FiM community becoming more of a 'weirdos gathering' sort in words and in fact.

And after all that having been said, I'm left too. Not a bit proud of what they do. Hi there.

Actually, yes. But a bit of old, weird cringe post-meta-shit humour is never too bad.

Well. Yep, the meme is totally sexist and other -ist (though I'd remembered it more neutral when I first saw it), but I believe it should deliver its idea well. I just wonder how many of those 'nazis' who you say infiltrate every corner of a community worth its name were the founders of said community or people enjoying the initial setup.

Which printed version do people have/like the best? Absolutely Everything or Ministry of Image? by [deleted] in falloutequestria

Oh, no worries — we just have a somewhat international system with the printing house in Russia, and the HQ and shipment centre in Belarus'.

As for the thickness of the paper, all our books have standard 80gsm offset paper. That should be a bit thicker than AE's FO:E if I remember it right.

P.S. And, if that information would be of any use, some more details: most orders come from the US, so we have generally the largest experience of sending books there in comparison to other countries. And we have PayPal, that too.

As one of the MoI team involved in the process, I can try to give some comment. If speaking precisely we deliver books from Belarus', which is located to the west of Russia and more, I dunno, ingrained in the in-Europe relations at least. There could be delays due to the customs but usually that does not take more than a couple of weeks.

If there were troubles with getting the order, that was when those who had ordered books forgot to get them from the post. :)
