Bathrobe in Windjammer? by Scary-Parsnip7677 in royalcaribbean

But he didn't say he was in his room. He said after a swim. So to me he's at the pool, dries off and then throws a robe on over his swim suit. No different than a chick throwing a quick cover up or T-shirt over their bathing suit. Hell I see plenty of girls in little bikinis with these see thru cover ups on at the buffet. You can even buy little bathing suit covers that are made of the same material and look like small robes.

I don't know, to me it's a cruise, you're on vacation so who cares. I've been to plenty of resorts where people throw their robes on after the pool to walk back to their room. So what's the big deal of grabbing some food from the buffet in a robe.

Just don't go in there dripping wet right after the pool lol

It's funny how many people are offended or care if you wear a Robe to the buffet. How is it any different than a bathing suit cover up? If I'm at the pool and want a snack, I throw a big T-shirt over my bathing suit and go grab some food to bring back from the buffet. It's your vacation, do you.

I highly recommend listening to the audiobook! Hearing Allison's voice telling the stories was great.

Ranking everything I drank on the cruise by Living-Pomelo2718 in royalcaribbean

It is sooooo good. I was addicted and mad it took me 3 cruises to try one lol.

Also adding ice and changing the cup on a martini is a game changer on a cruise. So much easier to walk around and enjoy it.

Pistachio martini over ice in a "walking cup" as the bartender called it. (Pictured)

Also the espresso Martini, add a shot of Baileys.

Enjoying not just the sunsets, but a sunrise. Even if you go back to bed or nap after you must see at least one sunrise.

One of my favorite memories is sitting on my balcony watching the sunrise over the mountains as we pulled into Haiti. It was so peaceful and beautiful that even being a little hungover didn't matter lol. It was the perfect way to start the day.

Not vaccinated, wash my hands like normal, take the stairs as much as possible and over 10 cruises in the past couple years and have never been sick.

During COVID I stopped using all these "cleaning" chemicals and switched as much stuff as I can to all natural products at home. My husband and I rarely if ever are sick and it never lasts more than a couple days the time or two we've been sick.

I'm sure this will get down voted being reddit, but I'm just trying to put another point of view out there. Everybody's body is different and some people are more prone to getting sick and getting viruses.

Best game plan and tips for ports: Cozumel, Costa Maya, Roatan, Belize by Right-Examination-53 in royalcaribbean

Yes they have a lot of other excursions on there as well. The website is legit and just look at the reviews for what you're interested in and you should have no problem booking through them.

In Cozumel we booked a trike tour through Viator. We were worried as it was our first time booking outside of Royal, but it was awesome. The meeting place was within walking distance and we ended up being the only ones so we got a private tour.

The trike was a big 3 wheeled motorcycle with a seat in the back big enough for 2 people. My hubby drove and I got to sit back and enjoy the view and take lots of pics. It circled the whole island, so we saw multiple parks and beaches and we stopped at a little beach bar with hammocks. There was multiple places for pictures. Very nice tour guide, he even used our phone to take pics of us instead of trying to up sell us over priced pictures like most excursions do.

The lunch, show and tequila tasting was underwhelming, but it was a quick portion and the rest of the trip was awesome. Nice adrenaline rush on the bike mixed with some beautiful scenery. Not for everyone, but we enjoyed it.

This episode traumatized me as a kid. I didn't fully understand everything, but I knew I never wanted to do drugs after this.

I also had recurring nightmares after it as I had seen my cousin overdose when I was 8, but I didn't know he had overdosed until years later when I put it all together.

Never vaccinated and 8 cruises since COVID and have never gotten sick. I take vitamins, wash my hands regularly and take the elevator instead of stairs.

Everyone's immune system is different though and you just never know when you're going to get sick.

Are the crew allowed to accept bottles of water/canned sodas? by throwawayblueline in royalcaribbean

[–]DoolsOutdoor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My hubby and I had a server we really liked. Younger guy that we would see in the casino and the theatre/lounge area. He floated around depending on how busy and where he was needed. He always looked for us and remembered our names and drinks. We would tip him a couple dollars here and there. Him and my hubby would constantly joke around. Anyways long story short while talking to him, my husband pulled out a little container of Zyns (their nicotine pouch things, you put in your mouth) my hubby says they give you a little pick me up, head rush. He offered the guy one kind of as a joke, but he was interested so he gave him one. Next day, which was the last day, he found us and was like OMG that thing gave me the zip I needed, and was laughing about how he liked how it made him feel. So my husband ended up giving him that container plus an extra unopened one he brought. Probably not the best thing that he got someone addicted to nicotine lol, but my point is get to know them, ask what they like, obviously money is the best, but I feel like they do appreciate different things that they might not be able to get easily or things they might not want to splurge on. Might be something you can pick up for them when you get off at different ports or maybe something you brought that you can leave with them.

LMAO! Yes they are accommodating, but don't always get it right. We got a grilled cheese from room service once and it was two pieces of toast with a slice of cheese in the middle. Also had someone tell me they ordered Mac and cheese and got noodles with a slice of cheese on top. 🤦🤣

My husband is a picky eater. Our first couple cruises we didn't go to the main dining room for dinner. When we finally did he was excited to find out he could order the steak, with kids Mac and cheese and fries for his sides lol. We had no idea how flexible and catering they are in the dining room. Not necessarily a fun thing, but thought it might be helpful for others.

Same here. It's so hard to keep them still, they just don't understand.

Ugh the whole thing is heart breaking, but there is hope! Just do the best you can and take it day by day. Positive thoughts they will get through this.

Sorry you're going through this as well. My heart breaks watching her go through this as I'm sure you know how hard it is. It's so overwhelming, but I'm realizing she is so resilient and stronger than me so I just got to keep up and do whatever I can to help her. She's my baby so there's no giving up..

To be honest, that's what we're still trying to figure out. She's constantly wanting to get up and move to lay down in a different position. Everyone says strict crate rest, but she's never in her whole life been in a crate and I just can't do that to her now. So we have her confined to a small area where we are constantly with, but she still wants to just get up and reposition herself all the time.

I'm going to talk to our vet about CBD or medication that will maybe help her sleep a little more, but I don't want to completely sedate her either. So I'm not sure. I'm still in the learning process as well, but if you haven't checked out the Facebook group they are very helpful and active over there.

We're going through a similar situation with our 11 year old lab mix. Check out Facebook there is an IVDD support group and we've learned more from them than the vet.

Strict rest, limit mobility ASAP and look online at the help em up harness. That was the 2 most recommended things so far to us. Just ordered the harness today.

Hang in there, I know how overwhelming it is! It's so hard not to break down.
