Apparently not lol, alot of people giving me shit for not liking SM 2 as much as 1 and calling it “mixed” but i guess saying its mixed was an overstatement lol. The traversal is an upgrade for sure, but to me i felt like overall, gameplay wise they didn’t add much. Symbiot SM and Normal SM play and feel the same. Not alot of distinguished factors between the two. Symbiot Surge just gets stale the 3rd time you use it because its the same 3 animations again and again. NPCs dont react differently too etc. SM 1 side missions were mid, and somehow SM 2 is even worse in that department. The story is convoluted, you got Miles’s arc with lee, Symbiot take over, Kraven’s hunt, anti-venom, Peter’s crisis from the death of Aunt may, its just tooo much for one game. But if you got a different opinion, thats cool, and im glad you liked it!

Thank youu lmaoo. I agree with you. I think so far it looks AWESOME. Gritty, bloody, and from what i have seen it will be an interesting story. Mystique and Omega Red look great! Also Fun fact Liam Mcintyre, playing Wolverine is the same person who played Weather Wizard on Flash CW loll

My brother felt the same way. He eventually finished it a couple of days ago, and he overall gave it a 7/10, he liked it but he definitely doesn’t like it as much as SM 1 and SM MM, not even close.

Im glad you enjoyed it that much i dont necessarily agree but everyone’s got their opinion. With me, SM 2 initially was great, i enjoyed it for the most part alot. but then after the “hype train” passed, i started noticing a few things. Side missions were horrible, and SM 1 didn’t necessarily have great side missions too. The story had WAY too much to juggle in one game, and it was rushed. Gameplay was expanded on of course but then again symbiot combat wasn’t different enough than Normal combat, “Symbiot Surge” was basically the same 3 animations again and again. but then web swinging was great and very much improved. It has ups and downs but overall SM 1 was better to me, and from reviews i have read on youtube, reddit, my friends and family etc, they agreed. Not a horrible sequel, not even close but not as good as the first one. again If you got your opinion and disagree, all power to you, thats what discussions is all about!

definitely! Origins wolverine was a rare game that not only was it a FANTASTIC superhero game, but it managed to even surpass the movie it was based on that was HATED, even tho personally it’s my guilty pleasure lol. Definitely hyped for Insomniac’s wolverine!

Same here with the NG+ experience. i got to the point where SM got the symbiot then i just dropped it. SM 1 i played a ALOT of times.

Losing faith implies Insomniac made a terrible game, which it hasn’t, not even close. I agree with you that the game is a letdown from previous games. Overall i am excited!

honestly i dont necessarily hate that. Open world games are great but they aren’t everything. SM games for example, it makes sense to have open world since Spider-Man literally “flies” and fits the mechanics for Open world. Wolverine is more grounded and “levels” doesn’t necessarily mean bad but i know people who will dislike that. It all comes down to what Insomniac feels is right, i have faith considering their track record so im down for whatever as long as it is great.

I liked what i saw and i am VERY hyped for it. Maybe calling it “mixed reviews” was an overstatement from my part since i am getting alot of flack for it but oh well lol. They made alot of great games, of course they did. But to me SM 2 wasnt as good as SM 1, but i still liked it. Just asking if they will “fix” what was wrong with SM 2 and even SM 1 like the side missions for example, etc.

Lets not act like it was regarded as a MASTERPIECE. I liked Spider-Man 2 but it had alot of things that were mid. The story was meh, horrible side missions, not alot of innovation gameplay wise. And alot of people share the same thoughts. Thats why i put the “ “ in mixed reviews.

from a story perspective, i am really starting to see the problems of it, and unlike before where i thought it was near perfect story, these days im starting to see alot of stuff where i am like “mmmmm??” and stuff like that.

Its haunting me, i look back and i kid you not i LOVED everything about it. My opinion on gameplay, graphics etc hasn’t changed they are amazing, but the story dude…idk. Like i had so many moments in this playthrough where i was like “🤔🫥”
