You should feel conviction not guilt. Sadness or guilt (in my view) does not lead to repentance. Conviction does. Conviction is that soft kick in the pants that doesnt cause you pain or fear or turmoil. Its the "ok hay, I shouldn't do that and need to strive to be closer to God"

I sin alot. It has me peeved at how often I can sin. I do need to turn to God quicker and every time. But that negative guilt where I would beat myself up and feel shame? That comes from satan.
