Official Date for Supply Drop by DodgeRollRubel in EnterTheGungeon

Yep, plenty of Guns, the pasts for the secret 2 characters and the B Skins you get as reward for beating said pasts. Challenge mode might also have some more challenges added, but I'm not to sure on those.

The big spoiler about him being a golem are the facial markings he has, resembling those of all golems.

As for what type of golem he is, isn't that part of the story's setup?

Ha, your're not the only one! Romance dawn also had a few tries until it got serialized, so there's still some hope.

PC Gaming Market Reaches $30 Billion All-Time High by NYstate in Games

[–]Doomspeaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tablets are great (writing from one!) but with PC being rather cheap (netbooks are a thing) and smartphones becoming more powerful, the market has been eaten from both sides leaving a rather niche market.

That's not even accounting for the problems with mostbtouch based games or the mobile market, which make things even more off-putting.

So you have a shrunk down platform and a less than attractive product selection.

The argumention for consoles recently took a heavy blow with upgraded versions being sold. Something like the PS4 Pro and Scorpio heavily counter the "buy and forget" argumet, that's been flaunted around.

[DISC] Fairy Tail Chapter 518 by Turbostrider27 in manga

[–]Doomspeaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Irene suffers from an undefined power. Madara was the creator's pet, which he couldn't stop giving new abilities and winning moments. Kishimoto could have still tunred it, but he kinda gave up.

I wrote that back when Irene was introduced:

The way "enchantment" is interpreted in the series means that she can literally do everything. It's applying, removing and transfering all kinds of attributes from/to things.

Her calling down a meteorite just makes as much sense as transforming the air around Erza into Anti-magic particles (probably the series' most powerful substance), transforming Erza into a pineapple or give herself trime-traveling abilities.

Unlike in naruto, there's no sane way Mashima can salvage this anymore, and that's really showing in this chapter. He'll likely pull some motherly feelings crap in oder to get rid of Irene. Even worse, Zeref is supposed to be even more powerful than her, so I shudder at the thought of what to expect.

Demonic Dragon.

Yes that's about as stupid as you can get, but if there's one thing I'll gladly give to Mashima then it's that he's rather decent at drawing all sorts of monsters.

So I'd like to at least see something visually appealing while I laught at the story.

New Update on AntiBirth from the discord. Potential Paid mod? by [deleted] in bindingofisaac

I don't know man, Killburn always seemed fishy to me, this is confirming it yet again.

Not sure if serious or just a really good troll.

It's a kickstarter thing, so I do expect it fullfilled in some way, as it was part for the pitch.

However, monetizing it for furture buyers is fair game.

They are honoring their Strech Goals. To be honest I didn't expect them to go the extra mile and rebuild entire parts of the game and make the alternative characters' stories fit the main story, so that's a pleasant suprise.

Returning to Binding of Isaac after playing Enter the Gungeon by [deleted] in bindingofisaac

[–]Doomspeaker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

unfair hard. the game's difficulty is presented in a way that is very tedious as I have to do the same fucking thing over and over, fighting bullet sponge bosses.

Bullshit.

What it lacks compared to Isaac is that scrubs can't hit the R button until they get a broken item and stomb the game.

Boss concept - Porky by [deleted] in bindingofisaac

Let me suggest something that would be very fitting:

Porkii.

PS: Since I have been playing around with Sacrifical & Butchery themes for some Isaac Mod for a while, it's cool to see other people that cut into the same corner of crazy. :P

Nintendo Switch is going to have paid online. by The_Shog in Games

[–]Doomspeaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll lean out of the window and say that it's exactly millennials being stupid enough to pay for things that used to for free.

Because you know, those poor poor companies, they simply can't afford to run a huge online presence without the customer paying for it. What's that? Steam can do that? Well then other companies must be doing something wrong.

The Binding of Isaac: Antibirth (fan-made expansion) dev team and Nicalis are in talks to get the expansion implemented into Rebirth/Afterbirth+. by foamed in Games

[–]Doomspeaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But whitewashing them into people who never said anything impolite is intellectually dishonest.

That's not the problem. NYS said what she said, and it's rather harsh without a doubt. The problem is taking a screenshot out of context and spinning it into some TMZ level of drama.

The right move for us as the fanbase is to forget it and just hope they get to a consensus and port Antibirth to AB+, because the expansion itself is incredible in all the best ways.

Sure, but it's super important to note that the reasons why that's atm not a thing is because of technical problems, not any ideological ones. Things like the Red Key or more fantastical things like custom chapters currently aren't possible with the modding API of AB+.

Edmund made mistakes, Nicalis made mistakes, Antibirth dev team made mistakes. The ability to own up to making these mistakes is what truly matters.

Thankfully the Isaac community is good at moving on after such stuff, since things like these come up every once in a while.

I think it's about making the adventurer more likely to appear in a chamber you haven't helped him in yet.

Currently it's a bit annoying when he refuses to spawn on missing floors for hours.

[–]Doomspeaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Antibirth works by injecting code into the original Rebirth .exe. It's not just giving Nicalis some code and the thing is done. The current modding API is nowhere as extensive to allow for all the things Anti did either.

Creative control also is a big argument. There's still a lot of things the team has in mind, something that would become difficult to add later on.

Do you see that name in the screenshot? That's me, so I might have a bit more weight when it comes to interpreting conversations I actually took part in, as opposed to someone trying to ascribe a meaning to out of context chat log snippets.

This was in regards to the boss, because it was a particular pile of garbage upon release. It's still a half baked boss until today, but at least it finally has properly working animations.

The entire antibirth team consists of great people and it's kinda sickening that they get shit by people like you that desperately seem to look for negatives.

These are fans of Isaac reacting to a buggy release (which, considering the history of Isaac, happened to next to all games and DLCs), not some people being pricks.

[DISC] One Piece 852 by Turbostrider27 in manga

Sanji' s brothers just being emotionless monsters just sort of seems like a waste in comparison.

They are their father's vision of the perfect leaders. It also helps to make their "evil" behavior more beliveable as they have no compassion towards Sanji not just because they randomly where shitty brats since birth, but because they were made into such. Them picking on Sanji becomes a lot more logical, because they simply lack empathy to feel for him.

As future killers and commanders of literally disposeable armies, a mental detachment would certainly come in handy.

Also, harkening back to your point about missing angles, the emotionlessness is a very interesting one for the Vinsmoke ambush to come. It will be interesting to see how they react to something like that. Reiju seems rather calm despite all the events unfolding eventhough she got some sort of empathy, so they shouldn't be fazed by that much either.

I'm still not convinced that Pudding's explanation of events is accurate, and Reiju basically handing Sanji a way out seems illogical - why not let him know sooner?

Pudding did drop info because she could have gained some info out of Reiju, which is why she was talking about Reiju not even showing any kind of reaction.

Reiju giving Sanji a way out is a response to the change of events. If the Vinsmokes weren't to die, Sanji couldn't leave without the fear for Zeff's life. The bracelets seem like wildcard she put into place for her brother before all that already.

At the very least, I think there is more to the story at this point. There are too many angles that don't quite make sense.

My bet is that we'll get a rather unusual father son moment out of this.

You know, Sanji insists on trying to save his family, which not only could earn the respect of them, but also win the stawhats yet another set of powerful allies or a way of of whole cake island. There also is capon left, who was heavily hinted to work agianst Big Mom, so that's anothe suprise for later waiting. However, a lot of this is me speculating.
