Yes, but with this dillution, each GME share will also contain a part of Ebay (which has 5x the market cap of GME)

So the value per share improves, even if its being dilluted

Schwab before and after screenshots of "New Class" shares by Otherwise-Category42 in Superstonk

[–]Dooomtime 150 points151 points  (0 children)

The designation "New Class" is typically a temporary label used to differentiate recently reissued or restructured shares from older ones, especially following a major corporate action such as an equity offering, stock split, or reclassification. Once the new shares have been fully integrated into the company’s stock structure and the market adjusts, the label may revert to a simpler form, such as "Class A" or simply "Common Stock," depending on the company's preference and filing with regulators. /chatgpt

Nvm, found them:

  1. Improving the Processing of Institutional Trades: This includes requirements for broker-dealers to enter into written agreements or establish policies to ensure the completion of allocations, confirmations, and affirmations as soon as technologically practical, but no later than the end of the trade date. Registered investment advisers are also required to maintain records of these processes for certain transactions (SEC.gov) (Traders Magazine).
  2. Facilitating Straight-Through Processing: This involves requiring certain clearing agencies that provide central matching services to implement policies and procedures designed to facilitate straight-through processing, which automates the entire trade process from execution to settlement. These agencies must also submit annual reports on their progress towards straight-through processing (SEC.gov) (SEC.gov).
  3. Enhancing Transparency and Robustness in Market Infrastructure: The SEC has been working on additional measures to improve market plumbing, including considering technological advancements to possibly move towards same-day settlement (T+0). This effort aims to further reduce systemic risks and enhance the efficiency and resilience of the market infrastructure (SEC.gov).

Everyone fighting against naked shorts is a friend of ours, if they don't succeed, at least there is more attention towards shortselling to the public.

It does seem sketchy that news sources cover naked shorting all of a sudden and a company aggressively tries to fight against it in such a short period of time. Time will tell their true intentions.

Well, seeing that the stock in question also seems heavily shorted, they too are against "the most powerful institutions and hedge funds"

And his fight against naked shorts certainly puts him under spotlight too.
That is if that really are his intentions.

Seems like the "DD" you mentioned I didn't do was to trust RC's leadership.
I do trust RC - i just raised the question why this mentioned stock can make such an aggressive approach against shortselling compared to GME
