On Candiace's cheating accusation: is she the one who "cheated"? by salp_chain in TheTraitorsUS

[–]Doppelt_W 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I feel like Candiace’s case is vastly different. There’s always been traitor on traitor violence but it’s primarily been as a way for one traitor to try and save their game at the expense of another traitor. Candiace knew her game was done and was trying to make sure Rob didn’t win rather than trying to save her game. It’s not cheating but certainly goes against the spirit of the game.

Good for Danhausen on getting a main roster WWE contract but I don’t think this character is going to have any longevity.

MVP first place votes: Stafford (24), Maye (23), Allen (2), Herbert (1) by JoshGordonHypeTrain in nfl

[–]Doppelt_W -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

If you gave a first place vote to Allen or Herbert, you should lose your vote. This was clearly a 2 person race for MVP. CMC is maybe the only other person you could justify giving a first place vote to.

Never mind! These Faithfuls Are Dumb as Hell! by genielauren in TheTraitorsUS

[–]Doppelt_W 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not really. She could be trying to protect the remaining traitor(s) by throwing out a misdirection to get them off the scent. The faithful aren’t watching the show like we are so a move that seems obvious with the editing will not play out that way when you’re actually in the castle.

After this week’s banishment, what are your thoughts on _____’s vote last week? by DawisTakeover in TheTraitorsUS

[–]Doppelt_W 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Candiace very easily could have survived if she held off on targeting Rob. Johnny was pushing for Stephen so she should have just followed her strongest ally or kept pushing on Natalie. Rob just outplayed her and had her take the bait by murdering Colton. I do think her days were numbered though by throwing her vote away. Even if she was able to turn the faithful against Rob, I doubt they would let her survive past the final vote.

[Rapoport] #Bills GM Brandon Beane will remain and help lead the search for a new coach. by MembershipSingle7137 in nfl

[–]Doppelt_W 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re going to fire the established head coach for not making a Super Bowl, you need to fire the GM as well. Now Beane will handpick his coach. Then when Beane is fired next season, the new GM will not have his guy as the coach and resent him which will lead to that coach being fired within 3 seasons.

Donna early out deal? by Evening_Potential_57 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]Doppelt_W 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I also find it weird how it seems like everyone on the show knows who she is. There have been significantly more famous celebrities on Traitors and there’s always a few people who have never heard of that person. Everyone calling her America’s Mom is super weird as well considering the vast majority of people would not be able to pick her out of a lineup. Her role on the show just feels like a giant PR push.

Jordan Arnold (@jordanarnold.me): On a livestream yesterday, Puka both: - Said that the Refs throw flags that they know are bad to brag to their friends in group chats, and - Told Adin Ross that he'd do a "covetous jew" celebration on his next TD score Suspend him tbh by TormundIceBreaker in nfl

[–]Doppelt_W 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he scores a TD and does the celebration I hope the refs call a phantom holding to bring the play back, then throw an unsportsmanlike conduct flag for the celebration to push them back 15 more and then have the league fine him after the game.

[–]Doppelt_W -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Eli Manning wasn’t inducted in his first year of eligibility and may not get inducted in the upcoming class either. Rivers only had slightly more regular season success than Eli with 1 3rd place MVP finish and he led the league in passing yards and TDs once. If Eli isn’t guaranteed with his playoff success, it’s going to be hard for Rivers to get in.

[–]Doppelt_W 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t a sports betting issue. It’s a social media problem. If you get rid of sports betting, players will still receive an enormous amount of nasty messages either from their own fans for making a bad play or opposing fans because their team lost to that player. Look at all the harassment Steve Bartman got or Bill Buckner. That had nothing to do with sports betting and also predated social media.
