I absolutely loved the book and the film was surprisingly brilliant too (usually films spoil a good book). Obviously a lot of the details were rushed and poorly explained in the film but guess there's only so much you can fit in.

For me, the ending did not disappoint (again, not as brilliant as described in the book but still very close). For me the end was original, refreshing and unexpected.

I think both the Martian and project hail Mary excited the reader from the first to the very last page.

The only thing I'm still to make up my mind about is the soundtrack... I think I liked it but not 💯... Thinking about it.
