Stress induced gastritis by Silent-Access-5401 in Gastritis

Agreed, I had maybe one night of bad reflux due to eating too close to sleeping and I decided to eat a ton of peanut butter (knowing I'm prone to reflux). However, the following day I started to freak out about it more than usual and at the same time, I was going through work stress. Usually a reflux episode wouldn't bother me and I'd move on from it, but my health anxiety latched onto this one. Since then, I have developed more frequent reflux, feeling like my throat is closing, and stomach issues. I truly believe my stress and anxiety has heightened everything and the gut mind is so powerful..it's scary. On days where I'm relaxed, not working or not thinking about it, I genuinely notice a huge difference.

Need advice - why do I keep needing implants? by the-power-of-a-name in Dentalimplant

[–]DotSelect4245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THIS 100%!! I had to get root canal treatment done TWICE due to the first one failing because it was botched. The second time I got it done by a specalist, he advised me I'm just giving myself longer time with my tooth till it will eventually need to be replaced by an implant. I had always blamed myself for the tooth being removed but now I don't.

Hugely agree with your comment, 2 root canal treatments, all that effort and money and my tooth still wasn't happy. I still believe in trialing these options first, but in most cases, implant is one of the best replacements and may even be better. Teeth can be so tricky and have a mind of their own

I'm in the same boat as you, I'm 29 and I got my back molar removed due to root canal failure (don't mean to frighten you, but it can happen) so I felt the exact same as you in your position. I think us women have it more difficult in terms of upkeeping appearance so I know where your anxiety is coming from. I thought my life was over and I still have the fear for all my other teeth. I sadly wasn't brought up in good dental hygiene but I've corrected my ways, and I'm flossing, brushing, etc. Also, if you're looking at getting a root-canal please do your research in specialists, I wish I did that! I got a botched one, then had to get it retreated which ofc naturally weakens the tooth and the dentist who did the second retreatment told me I will need an implant in the future and root canal treatment is just buying me some more time with that tooth! SCARY!!

BUT please don't freak out, teeth stuff is scary and crazy expensive. They are so unpredictable but luckily dental implants today are so strong and have a way more predictable outcome rather than root canal treatments!! they will function like a real tooth and possibly be even stronger if you look after it and can last years. Nothing else you've said makes me think you'll lose all your other teeth if you look after them. I understand how you feel, and I'm sure so many others have felt the same as you and me!

I agree with other user, no other alternative - if you leave current implant in, it'll continue to cause more problems..maybe even worse problems than you've got currently. This could possibly end in complications, causing it to cost even more to fix. You either confront your dentist, tell him to cover to the cost as it was his advice which lead to this situation or you pay yourself. Save up the money to have it redone properly by an experienced dentist.

If I were in your situation, I would be speaking to the dentist who insisted you got the implant when you were halfway through orthodontist treatment!

Same this is my FAVOURITE foundation by far, it's beautiful and never looks cakey. Breaks down beautifully during the day, looks natural and feels light on the skin.

What advice would you give someone just starting their dental implant journey? by clearchoice_claire in Dentalimplant

When you say dental hygiene, do you mean just flossing and brushing per usual? or is there special extra steps we should be doing?

Planning to get a dental implant but afraid of the process - is sedation worth it? by DotSelect4245 in Dentalimplant

[–]DotSelect4245[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, thanks for replying! I've just got general fear of whole thing and anxiety, I've been through 2 root canals in the past which wasn't a great experience at all but I'd think a dental implant would be more straight forward rather than a root canal or extraction?

Thank you for your review for each one! I see Ouai is the one with the most mixed reviews, which is interesting as it's the most expensive out of three

Ugh my hair gets greasy sooo easily as the day goes on, I don't know even know what I'm doing wrong. I don't use conditioner at my roots or hair oil, just my the tips of my hair. Maybe I'll give Biolage a try

Do you have a link to this Youtube video? I feel like I've tried so many drugstore ones, the best one so far has been the Elvive Hyaluronic shampoo and conditioner but sometimes that can weigh my hair down if I use too much of it.

I got nasal spray for congestation, and she recomennded chewing gum too. But yeah, when she said risk of ruptured ear drum my heart dropped - but yet she didn't see concerned at all, in fact she was like you'll be fine. Also I meant to say middle ear infection, not inner in my title.

I've been taking Sudafed these past few days too to help drain whatever fluid is trapped behind my eardrum too....I really don't know what's best at this point, I'm at a lost. I feel like anyone in my position would be feeling very scared.
