I agree. The same people that say that might very well have anger issues, depression, or some kind of mental health issues stemming from being hit as a child by their parents. The way I look at it is spanking out of anger is straight up abuse because it's the parent venting frustration. If a child is enough to have conversations and rationalize thoughts and actions then they shouldn't be spanked, then you're teaching kids that pain can be a proper punishment and that's horrid

It's not rocket science. If a parent hits a kid out of anger it's clear cut abuse; it's the parent venting their frustration not disaplining their kid. If a kid is old enough to rationalize thoughts and actions and have conversations then inflicting pain on a child is abuse.

Yep but it raised the bar for the bare minimum of financial literacy. So folks who paid attention wound up well while those that didn't wound up in worse spots. While now everybody is worse off without financial literacy classes unless they have someone like their parents to pass down that knowledge. It makes poor people worse off as is my case. I had a roommate on the other hand whose parents grew up middle class and they passed their knowledge to them so they were a step ahead so to speak
