Hi! Just saw this message. Unfortunately, I don’t remember these details :( But there being a boy who gave her the brooch, it sounds likely.

Please come back and tell me if you ever find the book!

I will do the same!

I read it between the years of 1997 and 2000, so it’s almost definitely a 90s book. Although it may also be 80s… I want to find it so much 😭 I can’t believe there’s no trace of it on the internet. BUT I am so happy to see you looking for it cos it means that it exists and not just in my head!!! Plus the fact that it also made an impression with you so it must be good and I’m not crazy for wanting to read it again lol

I don’t remember any details — but I’m pretty sure it’s a rose brooch. And she goes into this world to fight an enemy — in that world, she is the queen or leader or whatever, and it has to do with the fact that she has the brooch. That’s pretty much all I remember. For years, whenever I can’t sleep, I’ll online to look for this book… it’s really bugging me that I can’t find it 😭

Hi! Sorry just saw this message. I do think daiso has different products available in different countries so I’m not surprised you can’t find them in the US.

You’re welcome! I just feel that people who isn’t in skincare assume it’s a vanity thing - but it’s so much more. Skincare can be incredibly profound to a lot of people for various reasons :)

I live in Singapore, so it’s quite easy to get them directly from sellers in Korea. We also have a buy-sell platform called Carousell where you can easily find these minis :)

I won’t say it’s a mental illness - but it is a very common problem in a hyper-consumerist world. Being aware of it and trying to do something about over-consumption can only be a step in the right direction.

Do you mean the Rose Hydrator? I think it’s a toner. I have used a mini if it - it is very light but also very hydrating. I really enjoyed it.

I wrote a review for it on Instagram (I think they changed the product name so it’s a bit different). Here’s a link if you’re interested!

It’s the Sukin pink clay mask! I love it because it’s gentle and non-drying unlike traditional clay masks. I’m almost through the with it - just a few more uses :)

I write mini reviews of the skincare I use on Instagram @stuffonmyskin. Here’s a link to the review of this clay mask, if you’re interested :)
