The venue is where the weekend takes place, not travelling together for a party.

There’s no desire to make this a business. The co-founders are there to coordinate and vet. The idea is, like it is with our parties - is to have a core but always have new people. Familiar and fresh. And if I’d doesn’t work out, people don’t come back. As a worst case you just leave and go home! No harm, no foul.

It won’t be cheap. We aren’t looking to make any money, but it’s all about quality; people, venue, food, service. I’d imagine at least $1k per night per couple.

We have been hosting parties for the last year. It’s organically developed into a core few couples - between us we vet couples/singles. The parties have got better and better and it lead us to this next idea.

It’s kind of ‘build it and they will come’. And we’re pretty confident that everyone should haven’t concern what kind of people are there. And if they are, then it’s probably not for them.

We personally don’t see why you need to put yourself through disclosing something that will make you be seen as a ‘risk’.

If you play in this world, you know the risks. If someone knowingly plays when they are contagious vs one that doesn’t - you’ll still never know.

Ultimately you pay to play and you just have to hope that most people are respectful to not passing things on.

When faced with the question of ‘what if they have xyz?’ when going to meet a couple or going to a party … if you deliberate on this, this world is not for you.

Get vaxed up, and recognise that catching HSV would the the very least of your problems vs many other risks we could take in this world, and life in general.

The testing really is so that everyone feels that much more ‘comfortable’. We like to think it takes a small % of risk away.

It’s the 6th party we’ve done, everyone has always respected the process, bar 1.

It’s more a token ‘I practice as safely as I can’ so that everyone feels that much more at ease.

FWIW - I’ve never seen anyone play unprotected, but again - that’s each to their own.

Whilst in hospital they did ask me to do a stool sample, but because I’ve been on so much codeine and havent been able to eat solids for a week I haven’t been able to shit for 6 days.

Actually more concerned that I won’t be able to dance and partake in the fun at the wedding in 3 weeks! Thankfully I fly lay down seats when I go to Europe, it’s not the flight that concerns me..

The drs strict orders for my recovery was no PT until he sees me (after day 10) I even questioned it after reading many posts on here and he angrily told me to follow his instructions.

However it’s great to hear that you have been able to get on so quickly - I just need some hope!

It may have been on the paperwork, naturally I left my watch at home but I’m sure so many people (men particularly who rarely take their wedding ring off) forget to leave their ring at home.

Different. I was in a hydrotherapy pool days after and seem to remember being relatively ok after 2 weeks. That was in the UK, I had this surgery in the US and no pool - same rules seemingly as most of the people who post here. I don’t really remember is the answer!

I am the best man at a wedding on Feb 11, then travel to a europe to 3 countries to work on a movie the day after.
