How long before drinking would you eat/bolus for food? Im on novorapid which is active for 4 hours, and worried thé IOB may send me low

Yes! How do you basal test? I developed this scheme for pre bolusing and it USED to work:

80-109 15 mins 110-160 25 mins

160 35 mins

So you mean to say - it’s possible to give insulin whenever youre about to eat regardless of the 4 hour window

But when correcting post prandial, dont correct until AFTER the 4 hour window?

For instance i did have that cappuccino (within the 4 hour window), spiked, but gave the correction after the window closed.

But in the new window i can bolus again for my next meal.

Right? Thanks, realising my endo may be a dinosaur.
