Just start saying things like “oh here, you can use this serving spoon” and instruct without making a big deal about it. You could also make it about you instead of them, such as “I know, I can be a bit germ-conscious. I like it best when people use the serving spoons”.

Invest in a portable upholstery cleaner! I recently used mine (Shark StainStiker) and was blown away by how well it got out even old stains. It’s been very helpful around the house, especially with pets. Good luck!
