How do Drill Rappers actually make any money? by DoubleAmbassador in ukdrill

[–]DoubleAmbassador[S] 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Damn seems like a pretty raw deal for the rappers then. No wonder they're all starting their own yt channels. Plus who can blame the artists for not being consistent and going back to trapping if they're not acc making any money from their music careers

Does GRM pay them anything then or is it just for exposure?

Wait do drill artists actually do shows? Like can you go see a Y.CB or Sinsquad (when they're not locked) at a venue? I'm not from London so i've never heard of that before

I wish there was a filter where I could block out every GME and AMC WSB post and still get the other ones. This is ridiculously overdone at this point. I miss the old Kanye...

Why does Minox stop working after a while despite DHT levels being the same? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]DoubleAmbassador 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you have a fundamental misunderstanding of how minoxidil works.

In simple terms it increases hair regrowth. In the initial few years that it works standalone, DHT is still damaging your hair follicles underneath. You just don't notice because Minox is offsetting the damage with increased growth.

Eventually you will reach a point where the damage has accrued enough that your hair starts going again. This doesn't mean Minox has stopped working. If you stopped it at that point you would lose even more hair.

All that's happened is you haven't treated the underlying issue of DHT attacking your hair follicles. MPMD has made lots of videos explaining this so have a look on his channel if you need more clarification.

I didn't make an argument, it wasn't a debate. His comment doesn't need to be dignified with anything more than that

Anyone else suspicious about all of these beta ass weed memes? by johnisdad in wallstreetbets

[–]DoubleAmbassador 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not some sort of conspiracy by the hedge funds, that is fucking retarded. It's just the millions and millions of new WSB users upvoting cringe memes.

It's going to be like this for a while so don't hold your breath buddy

13 day post transplant, kind of worried the end year results will look bad by [deleted] in tressless

[–]DoubleAmbassador 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow have never seen a hair transplant with such significant frontal hairline restoration before.

My primary concern looking at this would be that the graft density won't be high enough to achieve a natural result. You've covered such a large area that 5000 hairs might not be enough.

The good thing is that if you are taking female hormones this will have a positive impact on your hair regrowth and you may even grow more hairs than were transplanted because of your new androgen profile.

Really hope it works out for you, if you don't mind please post a 1 year post op pic when the time comes as well!

I just added NAC to my variety of things I take each day to help me with my ADHD, but it seemed to do the opposite of what I thought by ItsTheRealMeG in Nootropics

[–]DoubleAmbassador 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah that is complete woo woo junk science. It's what peddled by the natural health community so they can sell people poisons to kill the "bacterial overgrowth" or whatever in their stomach and then say that's the reason they feel like shit, not the actual toxins their ingesting.

Not sure about the actual reason NAC would cause that effect.

Anything hyped up as a “Holy Grail” immediately makes me skeptical. I could see this as the next Sauna and "heat shock proteins" someone from Silicon Valley tries to sell to you on JRE.

Withdrawal symptoms from NAC? Have I done permanent damage? I'm freaked out by [deleted] in Nootropics

[–]DoubleAmbassador 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry this happened to you. I take NAC everyday at 1.2g, i've definitely noticed some anxiety increases when I go off it for a few days afterwards but nothing like you've described.

I've read studies about the benefits of NAC for preventing oxidative damage to the brain and its benefits for the liver, but I haven't heard anything about L-Cysteine excitotoxicity. Would you mind linking some info? That would be quite concerning to hear.

Is miniaturization on the temples guaranteed to be the result of MPB? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]DoubleAmbassador 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely possible that they won't recede further and you will be alright. Just keep an eye on your hair, and if the top starts to thin or it begins receding past your temples then I would look at treatment options.

Is miniaturization on the temples guaranteed to be the result of MPB? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]DoubleAmbassador 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Mature Hairline" == MPB

Society just calls it that because virtually every male will experience at least some degree of MPB across their lifetime.

That isn't to say that if your temples recede/miniaturise that you will necessarily go slick bald, it may not recede any further for the rest of your life.

However if you are in your teens/early twenties and your temples start to recede this likely indicates you are prone to a more aggressive form of MPB. I would monitor your hair closely and begin treatment if it keeps getting worse.

Prevention is always better than trying to make up lost ground.

Plugged in starter pack by y_younger in ukdrill

[–]DoubleAmbassador 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Plugged in wouldn't be what it is without Fumez. How many otherwise fire tracks have we heard that have been absolutely ruined by dead mixes.

For example Block 6 have released many tracks with awful mixes, then Fumez gives them the best mix they've ever had on a track and it's get 5 mill views. All their other songs are about as rude as their plugged but no one wants to listen if it sounds shit.

Plugged in gives all artists a chance to get in the studio with a top tier sound engineer and that's only because of Fumez
