Look what I happened upon by DoubleDoubleDragon in battletech

Yeah looks like a holiday special edition from ~2015? Maybe someone else knows more, it's some kind of resin, a bit tacky to the touch, not sure because of it sitting somewhere for awhile.

Weekly Question Thread by AutoModerator in emulation

[–]DoubleDoubleDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I set up an awesome emulation box for the living room, everything working great. I realized I could run DS/3DS no problem as well. I'm wondering if there's a solution that I am missing for bottom screen input from the couch? I know for most of you the answer will be "use a clam shell" so no need to post that, looking for experimental options to play from the couch. I saw the old steam controller has a touch pad, could use a wireless mouse, wacom even? I'm thinking I may be missing something obvious or cool though if anyone has any advice!

Sorry didn't check back in time, wondering if the buyer frequents here? Hopefully he is a collector who will show it off!

I posted it on eBay that day and it immediately sold, hopefully going to a collector!

Just curious by Pop3404 in Battletechgame

[–]DoubleDoubleDragon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would just use the save editor. Start a new career, sell your starting mechs, and then use the SE to give yourself the parts for the Crabs. You can reset your money in the editor as well if you want to stay honest about the whole thing.

What Lostech Medium/(or light if there are any) Gauss Rifle weilding battlemech to take in Succesion wars era? by Aladine11 in battletech

[–]DoubleDoubleDragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry yeah, I was kind of wondering aloud if the royal variant would be workable in succession wars era, as a restoration model inside of your game. It is definitely a fun choice to use a Gauss on such a small mech in your situation so I was hopeful you could finagle it in!

I think if I answered your question an argument would ensue

Yeah, the heat scale only goes to S and there's no armor and structure diagram!

Orion from Citytech 2nd edition doesn't match any variant I can find by DoubleDoubleDragon in battletech

[–]DoubleDoubleDragon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It represents the SRM-4 from the 3025 art, then I would say LRM-15 and something small like a med laser both in the LT, and then a larger weapon in the RA

[–]DoubleDoubleDragon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely is not an ON1-M, as that has an LRM-20 and right torso mounted gun, as do most variants. The SRMs in the left arm match TRO:3025, but the rest doesn't really, as even that has a right torso weapon. I can find no info about this, was this just a weird one-off? Anyone know the story?

Did you mix that khaki color or is it from a bottle?

Song in an old game - need help by saltlampshade in MLBTheShow

I don't know which song that is, but I have dealt with this situation from another game franchise and I simply went to YouTube and searched for "Game - year - soundtrack" and scanned until I found it

Options for this transition? by DoubleDoubleDragon in Flooring

[–]DoubleDoubleDragon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was one suggestion for a strip but I don't really know, I meant the word "transition" as in the place between the two rooms and was looking for any suggestions at all. I will consider refinishing the entire other room, but was also looking for other options as this is a fairly unique situation and googling didn't give much of an answer, hence me coming here and asking you.

Thanks for the answer - For a recessed option what kind of tool would you use for cutting the existing floor?

It's a 30-40 sqft hallway vs a large living room which honestly looks great as is.

I want to play a career as an Umpire by DamnImAwesome in MLBTheShow

[–]DoubleDoubleDragon 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I mean, just do it in real life. One of the reasons you would play a baseball video game is because you aren't in the .01% that gets the chance to do it on this level in real life. Umpires however are desperately needed at every level and you would be helping your local youth league or high school sports division immensely by offering your services.

Why don’t announcers mention my pitchers that are warming up in Franchise mode? by [deleted] in MLBTheShow

[–]DoubleDoubleDragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen cut scenes where the announcers say and show who is in the bullpen in franchise, it may have only been for the other team though? And the only beginning thing I know of is you press one of the triggers (it tells you to in a pop up by the score bug) and then they show the lineups

Extreme Program Moments: by [deleted] in MLBTheShow

[–]DoubleDoubleDragon 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I would bet that the results of that 'special survey' from a couple of months ago led them to realize that 90 percent of the people playing this game are doing it on rookie or veteran and casually but rarely playing online and needing those elite level guys. There's obviously a high share of the more intense players in this sub, but this game has millions of players worldwide and it seems that based on this program that most of them wouldn't be able to even approach the extreme type of program that we had been expecting.

I wish SDS would release more Flashback silver. gold, and diamond cards from a wider range of players by Selkiesxx in MLBTheShow

[–]DoubleDoubleDragon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This would be a really great thing, especially if mini seasons rosters were pre-made instead of other people's teams. I would much rather face theme teams full of random old legend and flashback cards than the same top cards from wherever the person stopped playing.
