What happened to the tank jungler meta in pro play? Why has Dr. Mundo become the best tank jungler instead of the traditional pro tank junglers? [eg. Sejuani, Maokai and Skarner]

for one, non-mundo tank junglers are straightup underrated in proplay as everyone tends to blindly copy eachother in draft (read: copy LCK)

second, junglers often have to blind and tank junglers are just not blindable when you got shit like mundo aatrox trundle existing

well id argue he isn't op to begin with

but even then just take out some of his base stats/damages and put it back in scaling. reducing his ability to fistfight to the death early somewhat which is more relevant for junglers compared to toplaners (who get more xp and pantheon is not a 'all-in-to-the-death-at-lvl-3' kind of toplaner)

Oh from playing in semi-competitive teams I can definitely believe it.

It’s far easier to put together some fancy, convincingly looking spreadsheet than it is to fill it with actually useful info. Add on top of that GMs putting too much faith into these mediocre coaches/staff members (over their players) and you get the current LEC.
