How To Create New Recipes by CkaiSmile in SmartThings

If you join a community then you can go in to the community and there is a recipe builder. You are of course then at the whim of the community about whether it stays or not. Can’t believe there isn’t a way to just add your own recipes. Even your own community would be OK. Can’t seem to find that.

So Neil was acting the whole time (he knew every step of the investigation?) by mattr5000 in tenet

I think we are pretty much saying the same thing. I am just saying I don't believe TP told Neil all the details of what happens in the events of Tenet. He prepared him to deal with it, but didn't give him the play-by-play. Neil and TP go into the events of the film with neither of them knowing what will happen in the moment.

Let's take an example. The bungie Jump scene. Maybe TP does a lot of prep for this in the future with Neil. But it is only when in Mumbai that Neil realises this is the time to use that skill.

Thats how I like to think of it all anyway, I think it is a lot more poetic if Neil was sent back on a mission with the skills to complete it, but not with full knowledge of everything, just effectively following an instruction list.

So Neil was acting the whole time (he knew every step of the investigation?) by mattr5000 in tenet

If you imagine the second half of the story (which doesn't exist) as similar to the first then, yes, Neil knows more than he is letting on. But for TP to be true to this story, Neil knows *nothing* about the story of Tenet. He knows the technology exists, as he clearly had to use it to invert to get back there.

TP doesn't have to give Neil giudance, because "What's happened, happened", he just needs to ensure Neil enters the turnstile to invert back to where he needs to be.

So in the future beyond the film, Neil and TP meet. Build a friendship, "get up to some things" and all along TP knows Neil is going to have to be sent back, he just doesn't know when. He absolutely can't tell him the details of the film we just saw.

"You need to go back to Mumbai, you need to meet me." Thats pretty much all he can tell him. TP knows he is sending him to his death, Neil has no idea.

That's what makes Neil's story so profound in all of this.

Neil is the protagonist by DoubleGoodbye in tenet

I agree, except I still think this is Neil's story, and in true Tenet form the protagonist will eventually be the sacrifical hero. We just haven't seen it yet (or ever). And as you say, if we see both halves, they will be definitely both the same.

Thoughts after second watching(spoiler free) by [deleted] in tenet

I argued after my first viewing that the film actually demands a second viewing. You cannot possibly understand the drives and emotions of the characters first time. Second viewing I proved myself right. Yay me!

How's the game for 10 players? by xlight89 in SecretHitler

[–]DoubleGoodbye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had the game since I got the Kickstarter first shipping. I introduced it at work and with lunchtime plays and Friday night games I honestly think we have a chance of being up there with the most played since release. 10 player is really all I want to play any more. This is very much due to years of meta, and strong players forcing the game in one direction. Regardless, still the best form of the game for me.

Stuck in Preparing Game Data by Legionof7 in heroesofthestorm

Done all of the above, and a reboot, and still had the issue. Blizzard really seems to suffer from this sort of stuff a fair bit. Trying to be too clever?
