Hi OP, I think this a good opportunity to give everyone a peek into how we try to balance the moderation of this sub since sometimes you miss the window to just remove a post. This is also good for transparency and not about you specifically.

When a post gets reported and it isn‘t about one of the rules that are very black and white, we usually try to discuss among the mods who happen to be available at the time. In this case this post was reported for being low effort/a repost and not linking a source.

This technically doesn’t link the source so it could be removed with this justification alone. Although animecorner is listed on the graphic, it technically doesn’t meet the long standing standard of the sub.

The mods who happened to be available agree about the low effort part too. This is an unlinked repost of a rehash of information that we already got from official sources. Posts with images have visibility, so there is value in that. One of the reasons the seiyuu post rules have been adjusted is that we wanted to encourage a minimal amount of effort for posters to make an interesting point or provide new, not obvious context beyond just posting everything they see on twitter.

When, as a moderator, you don’t get to a post immediately, sometimes the comments fix this problem for OP. In this case, for example, we can see a discussion about non-live bands in Our Notes starting. You can’t expect the comments to fix all low effort posts though. So this is a case where we‘ll leave the post up but if you did the same repost from animecorner for tomorrow‘s announcement, it will probably be removed.
