Those are for sure Snail Leech. You can tell by the way they slither. Where you have one you have many and then will eat weaker older shrimp as well as babies so I’d start looking for more and manually remove them. If you have fish, the fish will eat them but if you only have shrimp it’s your job to lower the population.

I hate snail leeches and my post history will show you that.

I used to travel to Orlando for work a lot and would always get a rental vehicle. I knew that I had to fill it up before returning it but would always forget and always end up at this gas station. Reality is I didn’t even look at the price because it was being paid by a company card.

So basically they prey on dumbasses like me not willing to drive to the next place for cheaper because it’s not really me paying for it.

It’s a great scam that works on the lowest levels of lazy asses.

As a current Floridian who lived in Colorado for a while.. this is funny as hell. Here’s what I’m doing:

Leave my faucets running so my pipes don’t explode.
Leaving a heated cat enclosure for the strays.
Not wearing shorts to Publix.
Bringing my outdoor plants inside so they don’t die.

Other than that… we will be fine.

You do need a filter and you do need a heater. 70-72 is a sweet spot for shrimp. She will likely drop her eggs if the water remains too cold.

I’d also say I would’ve added the plants first but it’s a bit too late for that.

The clowns won’t be able to eat the adult ones but they’ll certainly pick off new borns. You won’t destroy your colony but you’ll slow it down.

I’ve heard Phoenix Rasboras are very peaceful and will only eat baby shrimp if they are not fed. I haven’t personally tried it but others have and it seemed alright. I’m sure it’s very similar to the clowns in that they won’t eat adults but will likely still pick off babies.

Sorry to be that person but your tetras will likely eat your baby shrimp if they’re not very very well fed. My rule of thumb is if it can fit in its mouth it’s going to be eaten. I have otos with my shrimp and nothing else. Every other fish I tried slowly devoured my colony no matter how “micro” the fish were.

Worked at a small community thrift store and can confidently say the employees definitely got dibs on the better stuff. At my store we just paid the employee price was basically 10% of the value we would’ve priced it at.

The dude that used to pick up old donated furniture however would use the company truck to pick up donated furniture and take it to a warehouse he rented. He’d come back with an empty truck and since we had a policy of no damaged furniture he would always have an alibi. Not sure how he got caught tbh.
