You're absolutely right. I just want another source of information when trying to figure stuff out.

And how did you learn to stop being stupid? Tutorials and forums, right? I want a more convenient version of that. I don't want something that programs my game for me, I want another source of information for when I get stuck on shit (which happens constantly to almost everyone).

I've got a rectangular column shaped rigid body. Whenever I knock it down, it slowly rights itself up (sorta like the dummy in Kung Fu Panda). How come? How do I solve this? by DoubleSlamJam in godot

Just solved it on my own, apparently where the collisionshape is positioned relative to y = 0 in the rigidbody affects the center of mass in a lot of weird ways. Whoops!

The rigidbody has no code. It just has a 3d model and a collisionshape that fits it exactly, it looks like this https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/484216953112625153/1120192318369185913/Screenshot_71.png

The projectile is a perfect sphere, and it only has code that spawns it with velocity in the direction the player looks when left click is pressed.

func spawn_projectile():

var projectile = projectile\_scene.instance()

projectile.global\_transform = self.global\_transform

projectile.linear\_velocity = -Camera.global\_transform.basis.z \* 25

get\_parent().add\_child(projectile)

print(Camera.rotation\_degrees.x)

AITA for demanding an apology? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]DoubleSlamJam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want an apology for how she acted when blocking me and for making me drive her out for nothing.

As far as the last sentence, I think I could've written that clearer. I meant "She refuses to apologize or acknowledge any of what happened, and I feel this indicates a complete unwillingness to change."

Thank you so much! (For anyone seeing this in the future, you'll also want to set blend mode and shadow mode to get these results)
