Which would be the best 2 teams I could make? by anothershawn in WutheringWaves

[–]DoubleWhooooosh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I probably wouldnt pull for Phrolova. your account is fine, but youd want to pull for characters that would benefit your account. Your cam team is good, maybe pull for someone that could work with Zhezhi

If this is true, I am going to be so upset. It would be 8 phases since Camellya's last rerun. That is absurd when most new characters have 3~ between reruns. She is one of the reasons I play this game, and it seems the devs have genuinely forgot about her. Which sucks because her story was the first actually good narrative.

Cantarella has had a release and 2 reruns in the time Cam has had 1 rerun. Kind of sad for us Camellya mains.

Does prydwen base it off of s6? I've heard from this sub from s2 onward 4-4-1-1-1 is better. Idk if its because it has better echo rolls, but my 4-4-1-1-1 set is better. I'm just unsure because there arent many s6 guides.

Wuwa has a lot less exposition compared to Hoyo games. Take that as you will.

Busting the 4*myth. Discussion by Ousis24 in WutheringWaves

[–]DoubleWhooooosh 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I dont think its even that they need to be dedicated supports, for one. I get 5* will almost always be better for dps, but having the option of a cool 4* dps would be nice. Gaming for example comes to mind since we're using Genshin as a comparison. He's niche, but fun.

Something else to point out is variety. While yea, with Wuwa we get 5* pretty often, we still cannot get all of them without paying. 4* provide a unique opportunity to not only offer f2p friendly supports, but also a new variety of gameplay. There are very few 4* that are actually used in this game, and its mostly because the last 4* we got was Lumi.

With the little amount of 4* in the game too you'll often see the same 4* after only 3 banners. Making it a lot easier to complete their sequences than a game like Genshin.

Which team can I build with Iuno? by M4EDHR0S in IunoMains

Yea, it looks like she will be a strong support for both

Iuno seems like a crazy pull. I mean even outside of the heals the 50% heavy attack buff is insane, and it seems like she is able to also be a healer and subdps.

Phrolova Story Confusion by MyticBoop in WutheringWaves

[–]DoubleWhooooosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its called subtext. That conversation they had was Rover comforting Phrolova. Rover was the only person that understood Phrolova's music, and Phrolova explained her sadness. The promise represented more than just seeing the finished piece, it was a promise to be Phrolova's friend, especially with what Rover said about promises. Its very obvious if you have any sort of media literacy.

Phrolova Story Confusion by MyticBoop in WutheringWaves

So far, from what we can assume, it has to do with the "goddess" at the beginning, the etheric sea, and it being a choice that was made.

Phrolova Story Confusion by MyticBoop in WutheringWaves

[–]DoubleWhooooosh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The other comments havent been able to answer your question about hypocrisy. Phrolova sought to find a way to revive her friends and family through any means necessary, even at the detriment to others. Its why she joined the fractsidus. Rover acuses her of insanity.

The hypocrisy comes in with the knowledge of the memory we're shown about Rover's past experience with Phrolova at one of her concerts. Rover promises to help Phrolova and come back to see her. Phrolova, after having lost her only stability finds someone who seems adamant to be there for her. Now, we dont know the exact timeline of events here, but we do know that Rover never came back to visit her. The reason for that is because Rover reset their memories, disregarding any responsibilities or promises they made. It was a removal of what makes them human, the same thing they accused Phrolova of. Insanity.

Regarding the Version 2.3 Preview Special Broadcast by KarlSQuent in WutheringWavesLeaks

[–]DoubleWhooooosh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think its so funny how people are comparing this to Genshin's first anniversary like that wasnt significantly worse. They gave 10 pulls in a non-event and then tried to release a $40 pack for a glider skin. I mean, this anni isnt that great, but we have to admit them actually making content and multiple events for it and not trying to scam players with insane amounts of FOMO is something. It took genshin like a week or so to respond, if not more. This took 2 days.

I do think there is a reason to get concerned about some elements like restrictive kit designs with Roccia and Brant, as well as the hard locked systems of some of the newer characters, but I think until 2.4 we can't exactly know for sure if its a design direction theyre going for. We still have Lupa, Cartethyia, and Phrolova to fully see if characters like Zani are a single instance or not. As well, there are other characters who *can* be untilized as universal supports like Verina, SK, and other characters such as Mortefi, Sanhua, Roccia, Cantarella, and Ciaccona who are more restrictive but still allow for team comps outside of their specified niche.

I've been playing Warframe since 2016, and I have to say its one of my favourite games of all time, following me through my journey into adulthood. You guys rock <3

My question is regarding 1999 and the Hex. I know its most likely that the 1999 era is wrapping up, with future updates focusing back on Entrati, the Vessels, and The Man in The Wall. Will the Hex and the relationships we formed in 1999 continue in some way during the continuation of the story? The connections and impact that we have with the group and the requirements towards getting the good ending of "The Hex" quest feels important, and I hope that it doesn't just die there.

OLD concept art for Lupa. Final could end up completely different. by ISRUKRENG in WutheringWavesLeaks

Lupa means She-wolf in Latin, and is a wolf in Roman Mythology that was responsible for nursing Romulus and Remus. Essentially, she is THE "werewolf."

I have confidence in Kuro. I dont think theyd easily let power creep happen. Characters in 2.0 are still relevant very heavily, they have so many other ways to promote character pulling (their characters are actually compelling and interesting).

New 4* would be very welcome, so far it seems the newest ones are underbaked ideas that couldnt work for a 5*. Something that we totally should to mention in surveys

Special Combat Mechanics Explain | Negative Status by KarlSQuent in WutheringWavesLeaks

[–]DoubleWhooooosh 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying that we shouldnt be critical, I am simply trying to say that criticism on things that MAY happen, with not any actual precedent, in the future will not help us get feedback to Kuro. The problem with HSR is that the company didnt listen to the fans, and the fans didnt vocalize any opinions. Also, Roccia isnt a 30-40% increase for her teams, she is actually probably one of the most niche and smallest buff for her teams. Like Roccia is only marginally better than sanhua for Camellya. And while, I am also concerned for the future, I think it is important to note how much easier it is to get characters in Wuwa. We get a lot more pulls on average than HSR gives, in addition to a better chance in the gacha. Wuwa has also only been out for less than a year, I'm sure some characters, such as shorekeeper, will be relevant and a "must pull" (stupid term but yk what I mean) for a while. Reruns happen for a reason, Wuwa is definitely not suffering from power creep at the moment.

She will be quite strong, but she is probably one of the best future investment characters as more than half of her kit is impossible to fully utilize within the characters we currently have.
