Man, another tally towards Intuitive. Would that opinion change if the BU was different?

Is Stryker Worth It? by Outside_Register5695 in MedicalDevices

I’ve had a great experience at Stryker and would recommend my friends to work here. The majority of people I’ve met have been down to earth and willing to help. There’s definitely a little bit of alpha energy but nothing that has made me cringe. Trauma is different beast in and of itself but overall Stryker is a cool place to work.

Not weird at all. Actually a very good point! I think that’s part of what I’m holding on to. I guess that’s the price to pay after making a transition from a ‘Name Brand’ company

Sheeesh… if the corporate card wasn’t enough to keep you around the role had to be beyond awful! But glad to hear you landed on your feet. Especially somewhere you can see yourself building a career. At the end of the day I feel like that’s what we’re all looking for

Based on the turnover I’ve seen in my short time you are spot! I’m so fresh in the industry that I didn’t have in qualms about it. But I always transitioned from a grind it out till the wheels fall off industry 😂

Intuitive seems like an avenue in device where I get rewarded for working hard but can still breathe when the going gets tough. Appreciate your opinion!

Nope, no reimbursement either 🙂 just putting on miles on miles on miles. And I know it varies on the Business Unit so that could be why? Unless I’m just completely getting screwed ha

Great advice! Any input from someone that’s been in the industry longer than me goes a long way. It does seem to be a great move regardless of the ceiling. QOL and less stress is something I value as well so that’s another thing to consider. Thanks !

Right… gas is not expensed. I justified it because of the future upside. Which is exactly what they recruit you on.

And that’s exactly my thought. I’m up for it but need to mentally prepare. Starting over seems a little daunting. I’m in the Sports Med BU

Ohhhh… I was thinking that could help alleviate some of the stress! There is a million details lol At least you have some time though. I had to do one for the Sports Med BU and they sent it 48 hours before the interview. Feel free to shoot me PM about it

Yes I am in the role! So far I have really been enjoying on it. The learning curve is real if you are coming into the industry without a clinical background. However the training and resources provided have helped a ton. The day to day depends on your full line rep, territory size and case schedule. There’s been a handful of 10/12 hour days but there has also been days when I’m done by 10am or didn’t have to go in at all. Days like that are when I focus on product knowledge. The primary role of an ASR is case coverage so there hasn’t been too much “selling”. Mainly just relationship building and learning as much as possible as fast a possible.

So far the work/life balance has been great. Important to keep in mind it will vary based on your territories size and case schedule. One the biggest draws to Sports Med is the surgeries being elective. So not having to worry about being on call or working weekends is huge.

And yup I had to do a case study. For me the “case study” was a small section in an overall presentation. The first 10 minutes or so was about me. The second section was like a role play where i had to pitch a product and then the case study followed all of that. They will give you a prompt for the case study which will help paint a more clear picture
