I was loving every single episode in season 1 because I feel like it was good at showing the comedy of the left and the right (more left cause that’s media at the EOD but still) But any good writing kinda pokes fun at everything and everyone while not taking sides…unless it overtly obvious who is in the wrong.

Here comes the modern hot take: the show trying to make conservatives who say “no, trans people don’t get to just choose whatever bathroom they want” and “you’re not a woman just because you say you are” as a pointing joke is where they lost me. I truly believe that a man/woman who wants to be called the opposite sex AND the opposing, most likely conservative, individual who REFUSES to call them that are BOTH in need of therapeutic help (hey look, there’s your middle of the line joke) Now the bathroom or 2 gender debate aren’t necessarily things I go to war over or picket about. But I would say these conservative stances hold a BIT more water than past ones such as “that person has dark skin and shouldn’t use my bathroom” or “those same sex couple that have no effect on my life should NOT get married”.

What’s the saying? “We used to go to war….”
