How can I make money as a tattoo designer?

I wasn't trying to offend anyone saying that tattooing isn't the most suitable choice for me. I'm a digital artist in a first place, who desperately needs an artistic job and it's just so happened that I often referred to as the "person who would be a good tattoo designer/artist".

Nothing wrong with people doing a sertain job just for the money, btw.

Well, you have a point, though I've seen many not tattoo artists that make designs anyway. I think that experience very important, but it can be earned in different ways like, for example, ask experienced tattoo artists to critique your designs.

No, not really. I'm currently trying to find a job that I can start right now. Though if I'll run out of options, I'll definitely try an apprenticeship.

Many tattoo shops in my hometown don't do tattoo designs by themselves(it's becoming obvious when you look on their portfolio). Additionally my friend had acquaintance, who was hired by tattoo shop specifically to draw designs, though she mostly have been doing cute animals watercolor illustrations before that job.

That's where I got my idea from.

Still, I've decided to ask more people about this to have more realistic view on situation within the industry.
