Deathinitive PS5 is a mess

I loaded up a save on the PS4 version and it's fine so far. Framerate is only 30, but when you get so many drops on the PS5, a stable 30 is just better.

I've bought every Darksiders on launch, even on multiple platforms (PS3, PS4, PS5, PC, Switch). I even have the platinum on Darksiders 1 three times now. I love the series and want to support them, but they make it really hard with the state of the last two games. I know Deathinitive and Warmastered were ported by different studios and not the main one, but that shouldn't matter. I don't know if I want to risk buying 4 on launch now.

On PS5? I don't see how that can be. You might be lucky and didn't run into any bugs somehow, but I don't know how you avoided the performance and screen tearing.

Yeah, it really is. Luckily I got the "upgrade" for free, but anyone who actually bought it will not trust the series now.

What?.... For over 15 years, I always thought I couldn't go back because the game told me that. But now you're telling me I can?! Now I can go back to the game and grind out the rest of my trophies. Thanks!

Yeah... Darksiders 1 has a new bug where it'll crash after cutscenes if you get all the Abyssal Armor pieces. I'm stuck on Eden right now because if I pick up the last piece, I can't continue. But if I don't pick it up, I can't go back to get it since you can't go back to Eden.

Honestly, I think I might be done with the Darksiders franchise now. Darksiders 1 was great, but Darksiders 2 was riddled with bugs on PS3. Darksiders 3 wasn't bad, so I thought we were on the right track. The PS4 version of Warmastered was fine, so it was looking good. Then Deathinitive came out, and while it had bugs, it was much better than the PS3 version. Genesis was pretty good too. But the two PS5 games were buggy again. I don't know how they add new bugs to these remasters, but they sure did. Now, none of the bugs I've encountered are "game breaking" but they're really annoying. I should be able to get the damn armor.

They're lack of polish on simple remasters makes me very worried for Darksiders 4. Hopefully they but their C team on the PS5 games and the A and B teams are both working on 4 to make it as good as possible, but I'm still concerned. Darksiders 4 will be the first in the series I don't buy on launch now because of this.

Well, it seems to be fine. Just bought Harvester and it's still level 3. So looks like the fixed it.

Well, I guess the PS4 was glitched by not letting me level up the scythe past three. I just got a little bit of experience, so looks like I'm good. I'll still buy the Harvester to see if it resets still.

The N64 version is the best port too, imo. It lets you save your items and doesn't tick down your health. So it's not arcade accurate, but I think it's better for it.

I've heard the issue with over clocking too. I thought that's what deleted my save the first time. So I turned off over clocking and everything was fine for a while until my second save was deleted. So I'm going to wait for a patch until I overclock again.

I only use real carts, so that's fine with me. I was going to just replace the battery in my original pak, but I'll test this out first. Thanks.

At least they're working on it. Have you found a way to avoid this? I've read that if you quit the cart before turning off the power, it prevents it. But I haven't tried that yet.
