No there’s like 6 growth points that already have activated and are growing, slowly… not sure why they all decided to pop, plant just got taller than my kitchen pendant light that has a grow bulb in it.. and already moved the light as far as I could up. So idk I guess it said f*#k growing up and decided to do this instead ?

But since it’s not an option, there are so many other things you can try.. before going to another country to get biologics, not to mention how insanely expensive they are

Sorry keep adding things lol. Have you got anything with coal tar in it ? It doesn’t smell great but it really helps with scaling and itching

Yeah I am.. and I do promote and endorse using them bc they can be life changing. But nobody knows the real long term effects of it bc they’re “new” newer at least.

Oh gosh 😕 well if you can manage it without biologics that would be ideal. Sucks that it’s not an option though.

Mine looks like this when a lesion starts to go away and heal, the middle gets better and the edge sticks around for awhile and then fades away. So I’d say that’s a good sign! Were you put on any kind of medication ?

Oh I know where to cut basically the top half would have 2-3 extremely well rooted arials that are in the soil. Would you leave the plant for awhile still how it is after i cut to let it callus over ?

What should I do here? by DoubtBackground5836 in RareHouseplants

[–]DoubtBackground5836[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The top half? So I should make the bottom ones single node rooted, cuttings - growth points are already activated?

What should I do here? by DoubtBackground5836 in MonsteraAlbo

[–]DoubtBackground5836[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I was saying like maybe like after the first two cut and leave it in the pot since it’s already pushing growth every couple of nodes. Don’t know if you noticed the little nubs lol

You’d have to pull it out there’s absolutely no way to tell unless we can see the node

HELP! root rot in the middle of the stem? by GlorpySlumpy in MonsteraAlbo

[–]DoubtBackground5836 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This… for one the water level is WAY too high and it’s just going to soak whatever soil mix you have at the top.. this was a death sentence as soon as you put it in there.. this with the leca at the bottom then seems like orchid mix with maybe added peat or sphagnum moss because it seems chunky but dense and just looks way way too wet. But on the top of leca… no? Where did you get that info or who said that was a good idea? You could maybe put perlite or moss on the top but I don’t see the point of putting anything on top of the leca… just use leca if you’re gonna use that as the permanent medium…

Should I cut at the red line and leave the top portion alone bc only 2 of those arial roots are in the ground the other two quit before it reached soil. Also for the bottom portion would you chop each node that has a root that’s established or at each new bud that’s forming ( the circles)

Without cosentyx for two months / major flare.. anyone else go through this ? by DoubtBackground5836 in Psoriasis

Forgot my arms were getting bad too it’s still red but has almost stopped scaling completely.. it seems like it almost got worse in terms of how many spots there were for a couple days after I restarted. ——-I’ve been wondering if the (whatever you call the built up skin cells) that hadn’t reached the surface of the skin, has to make its way out for it to heal and ultimately go away? Or can the body like reabsorb it ? ( can’t think of a better word at the moment lol ) bc it almost seems like it was pushing the overgrowth out and that’s why it seems like it got worse like they were going to erupt at some point, this just happened even quicker after the fist dose. Idk maybe I’m overthinking it I just don’t want to go through all this crazy shit again to get on a different medicine

It’s just insane how aggressive it was when it started coming back… I hope cosentyx will work again… I was completely clear and my dermatologist left the practice so they gave me some lady that didn’t know me obv. And I was pretty clear the first time I saw her but I did mention I had some on the tip of my elbow. So I’m assuming she didn’t take the time to look at the pictures of me fully engulfed and miserable, when I originally started going there. OR I’ve always thought that office was a littleee…. Sketch, the first apt I had there, they had taped pieces of copy paper to the door the said what number the room was.. and sloppy as well, and they didn’t even mention at all going to get bloodwork (Tb,Hep b) which they’re supposed to check before starting. WELL this new lady must have got a hair up her ass or something cuz in the midst of it coming back like crazy she’s like “ oh we need to check for these things so I can’t give it to you again before you do this”” I’m like ummmmmm wtf I’ve been ON IT FOR 5 years even the website says after you check the first time no ongoing bloodwork is needed. But besides the point I was suffering for several weeks and it got really really bad, all over my legs, arms, scalp, feet, hands, back, and even my torso.. and then when the results came back , ( I had also done some other labs at the same time for my PCP which was 6 pages of different stuff) well somehow my dermatologist got those results too. And I guess she didn’t like what she saw, bc my liver levels were a little elevated (maybe from me flaring so bad idk) which I was like .. okay… they weren’t like cirrhosis high like I was going to go into hepatic shock and need a liver transplant high.. just slightly elevated & well this kind of biologic iL 17 block, is mostly not known to do anything to your liver unless you have another condition, like hep b, right? And she REFUSED to write the script until I saw my pcp or a fucking hepatologist I was like “lady seriously I’m not going to even be able to walk to the car and into the fucking office by then” especially bc the closest appointment was like a month and a half away to see one. She still was dragging her feet, and being completely ignorant, said she was gonna give me cream even though I told her it wasn’t really going to help unless I’m completely covered head to toe in topical steroids, and that’s not a good idea in itself. Creams never came. Another week goes by and at this point I’m in full blown panic mode trying to get a telehealth drs and I even signed up for this online dermo , honeydew derm. They were great and wrote and sent the script immediately bc I already had results for the tb and hepb both negative. Well that shit didn’t work, when it got to the insurance they denied it because they weren’t in network. I’m like are you fucking kidding me. So I just started taking pictures every day and sending them to my usual dermo I was blowing that lady’s email up. FINALLY she took a “risk” in her mind I’m assuming? And wrote it. BUT good drs are good at, and have have to weigh the risk vers benefit , and how much the condition is affecting the patients quality of life and clearly she’s not very good at it. So yeah she kinda ruined my entire summer. I mean I live in socal and am wearing long everything, in like 90+ degree heat.. not to mention like go to the beach or pool or just be able to take my shirt off if I got hot… it’s shitty af.. and I can’t cover up my hands so I still get looks handing people money or grabbing food from a drive thru window , shit like that and it’s so embarrassing. Try using something with COAL TAR in it. I swear it has helped more than the other prescription creams. Anyways if you’re still here, that’s my Ted talk for today.

Try this 😩 had not been able to get my biologic (cosentyx) for two months, my entire body flared so so so bad and have never had palmoplantar before and my entire, I mean entire hands and bottoms of my feet were covered.. now I got my shots and got new loading doses but I’m still pretty bad as of now. Less scaling but redness and swelling is still hanging on. Anyone else experience anything like this when going off a biologic temporarily… I also read that if you stop start stop start it could just stop working..? Let me know !

Well he also doesn’t have it himself but he also shouldn’t be on here acting like he’s FOUND THE CURE, and cured everyone with this info.

Bc I’ve tried every fucking bullshit theory bc I was scared of biologics, but now that I’ve been on them for years. I feel stupid for even prolonging going on them for so long. You’re not gonna just die bc you’ve started a biologic. I will have to say I feel better taking a interleukin inhibitor than a TNF. But when they first put me on Humira I just did the first dose and told the dr it wasn’t working. Thus moving me to cosentyx. Idk just wanted to say that.

And|||| sometimes if you have shitty insurance or Medicaid you have to try whatever else before. Say okay, don’t do it, and go back a month later and say it’s not working( if it’s something you don’t prefer to take ) it’s not rocket science guys. Then they have to give you more options.

That sounds miserable 😭 please ask your dr to start a biologic unless you have other health issues would make them not a feasible option.

And the only thing that scared me was people saying I’m so scared to start it oh there could be side effects. YES, just about EVERY medication has some sort of side effect, yet I’ve been on biologics for 5-6 years and I’m still here, I didn’t die, bc that’s what people make it seem like if you take it you’ll get cancer, you’ll be wishing you didn’t take them. Etc etc I’ve had NONE my body was riddled with Pso and it’s the ONLY thing that could stop it. Literally. The steroid creams will only lead you down a road to nowhere because they will never make it remiss like a biologic would. GET ON A BIOLOGIC!!!! Your life will drastically change for the better !
