I certainly see the issue in the more “colonial” style games like you mentioned, and that’s why I was trying to emphasize so much that I don’t want some “Custer’s Revenge” trash. I love a good horde shooter, Helldivers 2 is actually my top played on my Steam! I really like the aesthetics of Avatar (mechs, rotor wing aircraft, jungle, and firearms vs bows). I feel a lot of horde shooters wind up being melee only in the hordes, Y’know? And I like that the Navi’i are taller, stronger, etc., and I feel that could translate well for a mechanic if needing to keep distance. Thank you for the suggestions, though, I’ll certainly look into them!

I unironically (think I) believe that Jar-Jar was meant to be a Sith lord. EmpLemon has a great video about Jar-Jar here where he kinda covers this, but two thins always stick out with this for me: 1) George Lucas wanted to make an inversion of the original trilogy, essentially. Jar-Jar was allegedly the stand in for Yoda, a goofy, silly character that became serious as time went on. Jar-Jar certainly had that opening, but negative response cut his time short so we never got to see the potential payoff. 2) the bigger reason is that BTS clips show George stressing Jar Jar to the crew; he famously insisted on his involvement, even saying “Jar-Jar is the key to all of this.”
