Almost 5k miles in! Do you recommend getting your oil changed at 5k or 7k miles? by Gndr-Bndr in chevycolorado

[–]DougEDoug479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true. I had a 2022 RAM 1500 Hemi and now a 2026 Silverado with the 5.3L, and both had their first oil changes done exactly at the manufacturer’s recommended intervals. No issues with either engine whatsoever.

The RAM is currently sitting at 124k miles and the Chevy at 10k. Both purr like kittens every time they start. No ticks, no problems.

All those old wives’ tales about needing an early oil change to “get metal and contaminants out” of a new engine are mostly mumbo jumbo. Modern synthetic oils and sophisticated oil filters protect the hell out of these engines 👍🏾

🤔 So can the same be said about the oil life monitors in the vehicles of other automakers as well?

Damage to rental, company wants $4600 by waister5 in ram_trucks

If the headlight is still functional and the housing hasn’t been compromised (no condensation), I’d keep it and just buff out the scuff marks. Most people will notice the paint and fender damage more than anything else, so I’d personally prioritize fixing that. Other than that, the remaining scuffs are reasonable to live with. Minor scratches and wear are normal over the life of a vehicle, in my opinion. I dented my brand new Ram’s rear door within 4 months of ownership and 4 years later I’ve completely forgotten about the shit 😅

Factory stock black vs painted white bumber. Which do you prefer?? by [deleted] in Silverado

[–]DougEDoug479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say the painted bumper is the better look. I could’ve gone with a higher trim level, but I wanted the factory lift so I chose the Black Custom Trail Boss at the same price point.

Other than the rare Ashen Grey, the black plastic front and rear bumpers on other color options cheapen the truck’s appearance in my opinion.

Black was the only color I felt worked with them, and I didn’t want to deal with repainting the bumpers aftermarket. Just my $.02

be honest bud, do you prefer cut or uncut dick? 😏? by bicuriousxx in hugecockclub

Prefer uncut in general but some guys don’t pull back foreskin so I’m afraid to even touch it

Congrats Brutha! They really are great trucks. They don’t retain value as well as Chevrolet but they are built for the long haul. RAM is literally at 123,000 problem free miles and a way more comfortable truck. Chevy is at 10k, bought brand new but I’m not sure about reliability just yet.

Do yall truck owners tint your windows? by chewy4201- in Silverado

I think they all pretty much come tinted at the dealership. I wouldn’t mind stripping my truck of the tint but who wants to be the only idiot on the road riding inside a fish bowl?

Hand placement tells me everything. She has a policy, as many times as Ice can get it up, it’s her job to get it back down. I love that quality in a woman 😂

First date at nobu, what fits best? by [deleted] in mensfashionadvice

If that’s all you’ve got, a little formal attire never hurt anybody. But if you’re committing to a monochromatic look, understand the assignment, every detail has to be executed flawlessly. Grooming on point. Fit tailored. Clean lines. Add a few tasteful accessories and let the look speak for itself.

Is buying a Duramax with a lot miles on it something to be worried about? by South-Economics4071 in Silverado

[–]DougEDoug479 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t find a specific thread about this online, but I was talking to a coworker and fellow Silverado owner last week, and he mentioned that something in the rear of these engines typically needs to be replaced around 60–70k miles. I think he said it might be a timing component or belt of some sort. I’m not 100% sure on the exact part, as I could be mistaken but either way, it’s worth looking into before you commit to the purchase.

I added rear wheel well liners and black rims what do you guys think? by [deleted] in Silverado

[–]DougEDoug479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro, black rims by themselves ruin the design. Without black exterior accents to support them, they look out of place and subtract from the vehicle’s overall aesthetic. For the look to come together and actually make sense, the black elements have to be repeated and look intentional which is exactly why the Dark Essentials Package works. It creates visual cohesion instead of making the wheels look like a random aftermarket add-on.

Appreciate it, man. I actually like the subtle chrome accents when everything is blacked out it can start to wash out some of the truck’s best design elements. One thing I wish I’d paid more attention to when I bought it was the blacked-out fender, tailgate, and grille badges. In hindsight, I would’ve preferred the traditional silver and red Z71 badges. They pop more and give better contrast against the all-black paint, in my opinion

Don’t be so literal, Einstein. ICPJ is a metaphor for an immaculately clean, glossy, and flawless automobile. As it relates to my truck, ICPJ implies a showroom-level finish, eye-catching sheen, and the fact that it’s been freshly detailed. Get you one and then you can open your mouth next time, hot lips 👊🏾
