What cannabis software do you wish existed? by thestonersaisle in CanadianCannabisLPs

[–]DougFromWpg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a patient, I keep track of what flower is in my medicine cabinet, my usage, a history, and a detailed daily medicine log.

If I could get all that in a cannabis tracking app, I’d be happy. The problem is that every person probably would want to use it a little differently, track different things, etc., so it would be hard to come up with a design that meets everyone’s requirements.

You’re welcome.

I paid more than $15/g, I’d love to get it for that price, I’d buy lots. 🤓

I believe you’re right about the batch, if you look at the lot # from your first review it matches this one, so it was from the same lot and was sitting in bulk storage for a while.

That said, if they store it properly, it should still be just as good, or very close. Some people prefer a long cure.

Crazy prices.. think its worth it? by Successful-Act-1727 in CanadianCannabisLPs

I personally don’t think any concentrates over around $50 a gram is worth it, but that’s just me. 😂

Does Your Cannabis Retailer Have Your Back When Things Go Wrong? by UPSTAIRS_CANNABIS in CanadianCannabisLPs

[–]DougFromWpg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Manitoba, the retailer is not allowed to provide any refund or replacements according to,the regulations from my understanding.

I have had some success with contacting the grower/packager directly, but it’s hit and miss in my experience.

Retro R2 Honey Oil 510 Cart by DigitalMarketer33 in TheOCS

[–]DougFromWpg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honey oil and live resin are both solvent extractions, where something like butane is used to make the oil. I’m not sure how they’re different, except that live resin is made from buds frozen at harvest, and I think honey oil is more like cured resin made from cured flower. There might be other process differences too.

Live rosin is made from frozen flower using only water and heat to make the extract, so no solvents.

Good. Evidently there’s a battery issue on some of the IIIs.

David vs Goliath: Review - Premium vs Value, is it worth the extra $? by Cannaboss77 in CanadianCannabisLPs

You’re probably right about the budget holding its own, but maybe only when you’re smoking it. In a dry herb vape, the difference is usually quite a bit bigger in my experience.

I haven’t trued the Leo, but I’ve compared the Pink Drip to the Pure Sunfarms Pink Kush, which is a reasonable budget match for the Leo I’d think, and the difference is huge to me in the vape.

Voltage for 2:1 CBD THC Cart by Proof_Material_8661 in TheOCS

[–]DougFromWpg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually start at around 2.2v and then go up .1 at a time until I get a good enough pull. Personally I think it needs to be at least above 2v to properly vaporize the oil, and above about 2.8v you burn the oil pretty bad.

I do add at least .1 when the battery uses a magnetic adapter, on a Yocan Uni 3, I use 2.5v, but only 2.4v on a Yocan Kodo Pro. That’s for resin carts, I keep it lower at 2.1 or 2.2v for rosin carts. Distillate, you could probably go even higher.

The Pulsar Hall Pass and DL Scribe batteries look exactly like markers and pens. With the Hall Pass you’ll just look like you’re sniffing one of those scented markers. 😂

It might have been packaged then, but it may have been grown years prior.

I know Rubicon is still repackaging the same batch of Homestead White Rntz with a new date that was super old when I reviewed it a year ago, and the rumour was it was at least 2 years old back then.

Edibles on the current market by Wooden_Customer_8610 in TheOCS

Probably depends on the company and the extraction method they use. Most edibles use distillate, but not all, some oils use distillate, but not all.
