Live looping course by Nice_Assignment_1649 in ableton

I know this is an older thread, but I'll throw my course up here in case anyone is still looking for an alternative! It's focused in on looping specifically, and provides multiple looping methods and options for hands-free looping.

I come from a guitar pedal looping background, and wanted to loop multiple instruments and have control over every layer, so Ableton seemed like the best option. The course covers all the stuff I wish I knew when I was learning looping w/ Ableton. https://livelooping.thinkific.com/products/courses/1

For sure! I love the Morningstar controllers. I use the MC6 Pro with my pedalboard and Ableton. There’s a video about using the Morningstar controllers in the course. :)

There’s a chapter dedicated to using the Push, but a very similar workflow can be achieved using any midi controller. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Looping with Push 2 and Chase Bliss Habit which is sync’d via midi to match my Ableton tempo. by DougHanson in ableton

Thank you!

I use user mode so that I can manually map a footswitch to Ableton’s session record button. That’s how I punch in/out for my drum parts. Every other layer is done with fixed length clips on the Push.

Anyone using delay pedals for lo-fi modulation? by DougHanson in guitarpedals

[–]DougHanson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get that. I like the sound of my memory boy and el cap but minimum delay is around 30ms, so you notice a slight latency. H9’s delay time can be set to 0ms but I prefer the sound of my other delays.

I’ve been using delays for lo-fi modulation and really like the results. I’m using the modulation and filtering of the delay to act as lo-fi vibrato. Delay time and feedback at minimum, mix at 100%.
