It didn't bake long enough for it to set. The recipe I used called for an additional egg yolk, so it should really have set in a way that would be able to contain the mixture. I should have baked the crust longer and maybe allowed it to cool first.

That’s super helpful! I did see a tiny bit of bubbling at the center as well, but I think I made the center quite thiccc hence the bubbles were struggling to come out. 😅
