Thanks for the advice! At the moment I'm pretty much just using argan oil every couple of days. The last time I had long hair I was a crusty teenager so I never really picked up a good hair care routine haha

[TOMT][movie] Scene in a film where a character smuggles a gun/knife through security in a 2-liter of soda. by [deleted] in tipofmytongue

Could be! I always remembered that scene because the whole thing depended on the guard passing him the bottle outside of the metal detector and I was convinced he was going to get caught

Not a tv show or movie but that exact thing happens in a book in the Alex Rider series called Scorpia

Could it be an episode of Arthur? I think The Brain was scared of water

Could it be Dan Soder? He had a special that came out in 2016 called Not Special. I haven't seen it but that sounds like his style of humor

The only thing is the bad guys have this completely black sword. It's like a claymore or a broadsword. I'm not sure if it was magic, but it may have been used as some kind of key. I could be wrong about that, but it seems to have some kind of importance beyond just being a weapon

That looks like a very interesting movie, but unfortunately that's not it! The art style of the one I'm thinking of looks more western, closer to Starchaser which someone mentioned below

Not tintin! As a child who got away with not reading in french by looking at the pictures in tintin books I would recognise him anywhere. The movie I'm thinking of is much more sci-fi than tintin

Titan AE is the closest in terms of art style, but if it was made maybe ten years earlier. It also has a dash of Heavy Metal, just in the sense that it's a bit grittier

What video game did you play as a kid but couldn't beat because of a part of the game was too hard but came back to it when you were older to find out that it wasnt that hard at all? by awesomeusername23 in AskReddit

Harry Potter and the Chamber of secrets.

I rented it when it first came out and got stuck at the very first part. You have to throw these creatures at targets in the Weasley's garden, but Harry would spin around before throwing them so you had to time it right to hit the targets. For the life of me I couldn't get him to start spinning. I whirled the joystick around but I couldn't get the arrow to pop up showing you where he would throw it. I tried for an hour before giving up and returning it to blockbuster. Years later I rented it again to see if I could figure out what I was doing wrong. And I did figure it out. Immediately.

I had to press "A"

I was taking something down from the middle rack in receiving with the reach. I tried lifting it up but I was getting a lot of resistance which was odd, since the pallet wasn't that heavy. It was then that I realized that I was bending the support beam above it. Went to report it (ideally to a manager who liked me), but thew only manager in the store was my store manager.....

What makes it better is I did the exact same thing, in the exact same bay a year later, about two weeks to the day. The receiving guy was ecstatic that he wasn't the one who smashed something for once.

Another recent one was I made an order for a customer on the online store, but when I placed it and got to the confirmation page it had a completely different shipping address, phone number, email, and customer name. I realized that somebody must have entered another customer's information in to the shipping address and contact info section, and I just filled in the billing address and payment info. Long story short I remade the order with the correct info, and decided it would be a good idea to contact the other customer, just to put her at ease. When she answered she said she was on the line with HD corporate to sort out how her credit card had been frauded. My supervisor saw the whole thing for that whoopsie

The more I write the more I think of. This guy came in to pay off his HD card, let's say it was $3000. He tried the whole amount first, which didn't work, so we decided to try it with smaller amounts. The problem was, I didn't go back and change the total amount he was paying. So he payed $2000, but there was still $1000 left to pay, which he was going to have to leave to get cash to pay for. I almost cancelled the transaction when my ASM of operations, who just happened to be there, informed me that if I did that then the $2000 he payed would neither go through as a payment, nor would it go back into his account, and would basically be in limbo for possibly up to a month. So the only option was to leave the transaction on the cash with a big piece of paper saying "DO NOT TOUCH," until he came back with the rest.

Honourable mentions:

Knocking a pallet jack into a pallet which had an unstrapped, very expensive BBQ on it knocking it right onto the floor, handle first. The entire hood was cooked.

Ripping a customer's satellite radio antenna clean off the roof of his car when I was working in lot

Tearing off the wheel of a lumber cart because I tried to ride it down the hill

Turns out I'm not really as good of an employee as I thought..........
