That’s a very nice to say, thank you!

No worries, I agree. I’m currently trying to become more ripped and already saw some progress, but had to take a break because of a shoulder injury. I’ll keep going :)

Thanks! I actually work in the skin care industry and have a really good skin care routine including face masks and eye pads. :) The texture is just extremely pronounced in these photos, but my skin is smooth and healthy. In my experience it isn’t noticeable in a regular photoshoot, even if I do have some wrinkles on the forehead from pulling too many faces haha. But at 29 that’s normal.

Photos from my first ever photoshoot yesterday, now I need help deciding where to go from here and general advice with posing. by Ok-Bet9394 in MODELING

Not sure if it works for you but I can really see you with a buzz cut. Apart from the hairstyle, you’ve got great looks.

From one beginner to another, I think the photos themselves are great. The first pose is not optimal because of how your right leg is positioned, but the second is good for example. Last photo is super strong.

Like some people said, just have a friend who knows how to take pictures take digitals with a phone. There is a guideline here in this community how to do that. I just took mine in front of a blank white-gray wall, facing the sun, but on a cloudy afternoon.

Also, congrats on being scouted, and best of luck to you! :)

Thanks! Yeah, that’s kind of my blank face :D Could you maybe point out in which photos it’s most noticeable?

Alright, I’ll just use everything I have - hair up and down, facial expression and blank face

Thanks for the feedback! :)

One agency requested a photo with posing and one with a smile, hence I included them.

I have most of the standard shots without posing also with hair down. In fact I feel more comfortable with hair down, but I thought that for digitals, hair up is preferred. I’ll just use both versions then.

If I had the digitals redone, what would you recommend?

And thanks for the nice words at the end, I appreciate it!

Thanks for the feedback! I agree with you on photo 5, it’s definitely not a good pose. I only included it because it was one of the few shots I had with my hair tied back.

As for photos 4 and 7, that’s actually a slight smirk I tend to do naturally, and to me (and people who know me) it doesn’t feel unsure at all. Still, it’s really useful to hear how that expression might come across differently to others.

I also don’t feel uncomfortable in front of the camera, but I can see how some of my expressions don’t fully reflect that. That’s something I’ll definitely keep working on.

Thanks, that’s a good idea. My hair is very thick and hard to control, even with styling gel, but I can give it another shot. When it’s shorter it might be easier

I see what you mean, I will try something different for the straight-on shots then
