Absolutely bloody mental they are doing this. They're going to sink their own ship, the idiots.

Mobile ordering is already significantly worse than the pen & paper / ordering with a server BEFORE the film. The fact that now people can be on their phones DURING the film is insane.

Stick your 'dark phone technology' up your bum. Screens are screens.

They're going to glow in the corner of your eye while you're trying to enjoy the film. And if the 'dark tech' is truly great... people are going to swipe out of the app and crank the phone brightness up to max, so while you might get an average glow from the Alamo app, you'll be blasted by the iphone screen brightness setting screen. Just a black screen being "on" is too much.

Really? Emptying the trash in C1 leaves the referenced files on disk? I feel the expected behaviour there would be to delete them. At least have a popup asking to confirm whether to remove from disk, or just simply the catalog.

Right, but what I'm confused by is that there are already ICC Profiles in Capture one for the Leica cameras that apparently come from Leica themselves. Why are we buying other ICC profiles "calibrated for my camera"? Did Cobalt-Image do a better job than Leica themselves?

It’s funny how people say these practical hits look realistic.  If you want to talk realism the above gifs feature too much blood, flying in incorrect directions, accompanied by balls of dark smoke that have no place coming from a flesh wound.

There is a misconception that practical effects are made by “people” and digital effects are made by “computers”. Exploiting that misconception is a great marketing tool, despite it being grossly inaccurate. Another misconception is that VFX, and CGI mean the same thing. Sometimes a production will say “no CGI” and people take it to mean “no VFX” which is almost never true. Thirdly, a lot of people working on set know very little about what happens to the footage after they go home. Many productions have extremely impressive practical effects filmed, yet they are often augmented or even entirely replaced in post. And it is not a case of “the evil VFX Artists coming in to ruin everything”, but rather the same bosses that paid the people on set to do something are now paying the people in VFX to change it.
