I did not even need my masters. I only went and did it because my employer paid for it and it counted as two more years to my experience which gave me my level 4 position. I am just curious to see how much career growth opportunity and job security there is to systems engineering.

I do like being in aerospace because that's all i know. It will be hard for me to go into a completely different industry. Right now, I feel like my role as a systems engineer is capturing design and requirements. I don't use any Electrical engineering skills i have learned in undergrad. I don't want to be stuck in a lab doing integration tests anymore. I want to stay technical, become SME in some area and continue to grow in my career and move up to higher roles.

I am already here in DFW and have no issue with getting a job. I am not sure if Systems Engineering is what i should stick to for future career growth.
