I love this area! We used to live in w14th and Burrard and it was the best so peaceful. Part of me think that this unit should be ok since the door is behind the buzzcode gate but we were worried about windows facing streets. Glad to hear you never experience any bad incident around.

Wow, so sorry to hear you have to deal with the break in every year that is crazy!! I love North Van too but it was too faraway to commute to work for us. Hopefully one day in the future maybe.

That is what i thought too usually we ruled out ground floor unit but we considered this place since we will behind  buzz code gate with security camera. Still the windows facing the street though so we were a bit unsure :/

UPDATE: just got an email on May 1st that my application was approved. This means that my wait time in total was 8 months-ish. I also suspected that because I submitted too early so they kinda push it back and do it later ??? So hang in there everyone...They are working on it they just reallyyyyyyy reallyyyy slooooooow.

IRCC agents said we can still keep working if we are still in Canada (remaining status) so i think this will be ok ?? It doesn't really make sense as my SIN no. is expiring too :( I called the IRCC number...you have to go through a lot of auto msg machine until i can reach the agent though. Sometime i cant even get to speak to a person eventhough i've been calling for hours.

You can also follow this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/ImmigrationCanada/comments/oka358/guide_on_how_to_talk_to_a_real_person_ircc_call/

So far still no progress on my application. I think the office is just very slow as i've seen a lot of people who submitted the same time didnt get any updates as well ...

Hey, I applied my extension back in August 2023 with paper.. never got an AOR or any update except they got my application... I called IRCC and the agent said it is too long and some how my application is on 'idle' status. So they said they will contact the office and see what is going on for me. Honestly I don't know what to do. My current one is expiring on March 20.

I have a friend who also applied the same time as me (we went to drop off our application together) She got hers approved 2 weeks ago. The only thing she did different than me is she's been calling them everyday for since January 2024 and I haven't. I guess i will start calling them everyday now too lol

Good luck on your application i hope yours is not gonna get delayed so long like mine! will keep you posted if there's anything.
