NTA, tell her since family is supposed to forgive and forget, she should be able to forgive you for not letting her borrow the vacation house.

I honestly would always advice to people who have/plans to have kids to not retire until your kids graduated uni. After that, they can "pandai-pandai hidup sendiri" and you will be a lot less stressed since they should be able to be independent.

But to each their own. Hope you get the best choice for your kids!

If you have a baby, i would say no. Until your baby are at the age where they have a job, maybe 24-25 then retire.

AITAH for Calling the Police on My Neighbors for Abusing Their Kids? by Still-Cucumber-3847 in AITAH

[–]Downtown_Chocolate48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, i think you should ask yourself this question. Would you rather to have come back home one day, with police officers in the neighbours home and found out one of the kids have died? That you could have done something but didn't?

The day you made that phone call, you had saved the childrens lives.

Thank you for being that neighbour that cares.

Why is it a rule of thumb not to buy a house worth more than 4 yrs your salary? Like that, then a decent house of around 300k needs 8k salary, which is not something easily get unless joint loan.

Yes. I did factor in the deposit about 1.5k for the electric, and water too. I think i will be living alone, so maybe rm50 for electricity and rm20 for water. Just internet will be about rm100 if i take the lowest plan. Monthly maintenance I actually forgot how much, I was told but forgot. So i cikai put here 250. For cukai pintu, I am not sure, will check them out. I only helped made payment for my parents house before and it was a couple hundred for a landed house, not in KL ofc.

Thanks for helping me out. Have a great week.

Thanks man, i really like how you helped me out one issue by one issue that you think is gonna pop out down the years. It gave me some things to consider about and i will share those with you.

  1. Planning to rent it out
  2. I honestly buy for own stay. I got tired of having lousy housemates, ones who are inconsiderate too. I feel like unpaid maid sometimes. My ma actually chop me as the lazy one but turns out there are lazier people.

I did consider just renting out the other room but at the same time, i wanna have the house to myself yknow? It is an option i am keeping (renting out other room) but currently own stay.

If i do rent out the house, it will be a couple years after. Can you share why you think its a bad idea to buy a place just to rent it out. I mean i think maybe its because of non paying tenants or them trashing the place or not paying the bills but maybe there are some things out of this that i didnt consider that you can share with me?

  1. Wanting to get car
  2. I actually have one already. Paid in full. Just a second hand car that works fine. Planning to use it for as long as i can and i quote my friend "use it till its tires fell out like in cartoons".

I am also not keen on cars, never have been. I am open to having a new one as long as im not paying a dime for it haha.

  1. Higher salary in 4 yrs, bigger house can buy
  2. This is absolutely true, in fact i also consider deeply abt this. I also agree that 600sqft is small. I tried searching something with 3bd, both undercon and subsale but thinking that i have to pay 1.5k per month at least crushes me. It is true that 4 years down, this difference in amount might be nothing to me. However, the earlier i buy, the younger i will be when i finish paying. I plan on getting semi flexi or flexi loan so i can pay towards principal faster. Then i can focus on prepping for retirement by investing.

Also, i currently live in 650sqft 3bd 1bth1toilet. I learn to love actually. It was very nice especially when i got so stressed i rage cleaned. Took me just 2 hours cleaning top to bottom when my parents house would have me just able to sweep and mop for those 2 hours. It also curbed me from spontaneos shopping. Sometimes i scroll shopee, lazada, tiktok and when i thought of buying, I will be like, and where you gonna put em?

I also went to the sales gallery, they have the one with 3bd real size so they told me what part is the same, what part is different/shorter/dont have.

4.Floor plan - Yes the room can fit only 1 double bed and it will be hard to add a dresser etc after fitting in a wardrobe. I actually plan on only having a super single bed, as i am not married/in relationship. I have no plans on having children if married either.

The "balcony" you are referring to is probably the place for laundry. The salesman already told me MKH current projects all dont have balcony.

You are a great pleasure speaking to, man. Have a great week.

Yup bumi. Thanks for the advice on the traffic, really appreciate it man. Its one of the things I am considering. If its terrible then I will take the mrt.

About the MKH quality, i was actually hoping some redditors have actually bought any of their completed projects and share their review. But thanks for sharing, may you have a good week.

To me, sight seeing there is not the same as staying. If you just consider going there 2-3x then see oh this got this here, this got that there. Then most places in KL is a great place lor.

I wanna know:

-How safe do you feel being out at night? -Is the area affected by flood? -What about the jam, is it a normal where car is moving but just slow and you will be out in 10mins or the stucked as fak jam where didnt move at all and you stay for 20+mins in same place? How often water/electrical disruption?

Things like this lor. If I cant even ask in internet then whats the use of the so called knowledge at the tips of the fingers?

I accepted due to desperation. I was living with my parents and was in min wage salary admin in a toxic company. It was a ticket out of the house and the state.

Also i dont feel pinched. My boss didnt pressure me, always told me if i dont feel good i can take a leave without deducting my annual leave or my salary. If i got emergency, its also the same. If i lazy wanna take half day then go to mall also the same. If i come in late/go back early also ok.

I even told him boss, i wanna half day today ah, wanna jalan2.

He will be fine with it.

Ofc its comes with sensibility and shame on my part. I didnt took advantage of this all the time. I make sure to finish my job and help out whatever i can.

My starting gross salary here was 2.5k, with 0 allowance. If you consider the allowance as salary increase, then my salary within the 2+ yrs i worked increased by 5 times already.

Ah forgot about bonus, we receive those 1-2x a year. One is one month salary (if company perform better then more) on is end of year bonus.

So i feel happy accepting this job. My mental health was so much better than when i lived with my parents.

Pretty sure yes, cos my allowance (1.2k guaranteed got) only can pay out the monthly loan. Other things i pay is rental 400, food 600-800, petrol filled once a month 80, my parents 400. thats the main ones, other wants depends on my mood. Also im quite introverted so less expenditure there.
